Review summary
Allure of the Seas is amazing! It’s astonishing at what Royal Caribbean was able to design into the Oasis class ships. The food being served aboard this time was disappointing. I wished I could blame current supply chain issues but considering we was just on a Royal Caribbean cruise last month that provided the food quality R.C is known for, I can’t use that as the excuse. It truly does bother me to type negative things about Royal, we have been extremely loyal with repeated bookings aboard their ships. Not offering several of the staple Royal Caribbean entertainment options with guest health concerns as the reason is a weak excuse aboard this class of ship. On some of the smaller ships I understand it. To sum it up, the ship was great as expected but we spent 8 nights aboard being served food that didn’t taste good. The regular production shows was as always great but the daily highlight of entertainment consisted of trivia and bingo. It was a nice cruise but felt “off” when we know what Royal Caribbean is capable of and known for, it’s why we have repeatedly booked with them.Embarkation

Food and Dining
Opus Dining Room
The crew serving was great but the taste of food really wasn’t all that good. Even the “safe” items that you can always count on being good across all Royal Caribbean ships was off. This was our second cruise aboard the Allure and the differences in taste of food between the first cruise and second was a drastic change.
Sorrento's
Great place to stop in for a slice
Johnny Rockets
Amazing as always! The crew was awesome, we really enjoyed Johnny Rockets on this ship.
Windjammer Cafe
This is the first time out of all of our Royal Caribbean cruises that I have complained about the food with a 1 star review. The Windjammer service was great as always but the taste of the food was really not good at all.

Ship tip
At this current time in sailing with covid restrictions be prepared to not have the typical cruise experience we are used to pre-covid. I don’t care if this makes some people mad, it’s just my opinion that Royal Caribbean is using “covid” as the excuse to not provide several entertainment offerings that we and many other passengers we spoke with want back sooner than later. Be prepared for an abundance of trivia on the cruise compass to be passed off as passenger entertainment. Hey, we love trivia but when it’s the main entertainment offering day to day it gets old real quick!
