Review summary

Royal Caribbean has earned our loyalty. Everything was perfect with this cruise. They replaced our broken suitcase and gave us onsite credits. The wifi was reliable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Entertainment was way better, From now on I think we will only cruise with Royal Caribbean.

Food and Dining

Buffet can be improved. The Asian foods were not so good.

Onboard Activities

We have cruised 6 times with 3 different cruising companies and Royal Caribbean is way better. So many fun things on the ship. I don't think we had time to do them all. There are two surfing wave pools, a skating rink, a water theater etc. My daughter was a little disappointed that they don't have a water slide.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony facing the ocean. It was nice to sit there and have a coffee in the morning and enjoy the breeze. The room was ok in general. The cabinet door was making a little rattling sound at night and we had to put a pillow against the door. The shower cord is always in the way and it made the shower room even smaller.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We spent some time on Hollywood beach. It was ok. The science and discovery museum was nice. Our daughter loved it.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We had a fun day at the beach on the Dutch side. It was walking distance from the cruise port. Local people are supper friendly. Had a lunch at local restaurant and the food was great. Did some shopping and sightseeing in the town nearby.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We went to El Morro, walked through old San Juan, and visited some church. Great history sites. Some local people are less friendly. We once stopped to ask someone for directions and she told us to go away:-(.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

It is a Royal Caribbean private island. You are in Haiti but don't see Haitians. It was crowded because the entire cruise people were there. Royal Caribbean provided BBQ lunch and it was quite nice. The beach was ok. The fun thing was the zip line across the ocean. We brought snorkeling gears and that was a great decision. The corral reef was right there and you can see all sorts of colorful fish. Haiti must be a nice place to dive and snorkel. Thinking about taking a snorkeling trip there.

No issues. Royal Caribbean really treat their customers well. The provided a nice breakfast and was not rushing anyone off the ship.
