Ship tip

We have been on many cruises. This is the first time we really regretted choosing a ship! There were over 6700 passengers on board (not including the crew). Everything was crowded, long lines, horrible!!!

EatatJoes I completely agree with you. Cruise staff making comments to smooth things over. 6K people on a ship has to be crowded. Much like Disney in Orlando (WAY TO CROWDED) yet people go and like it. I for one do not. The way people are attacked on here for negative comments makes me think there would be way more if the Fake Staff were not attacking them. Cruising on this ship in December and am concerned about this particular ship and cruise line.

Never been on it but I have been researching the heck out of these big "of the seas" ships. Yes, I keep hearing they are CROWDED. No thanks! Unlike the other comments on here that say it's never crowed are crazy, well clearly it is otherwise there wouldn't be so many saying they felt this way. FYI- the comments from these accounts are clearly biased and smell like the Cruise line's social smoothing staff pumping fake news. Maybe I'm wrong but you guys certainly smell.

I'm super surprised...I wish your experience was better. I love the Oasis class ships and I typically sail at the end of summer through Labor Day. I could never guess there were 6k+ people onboard and we participate in just about every activity. Wish you the best experience on your next sailing.

Been on the Allure 2 times said we saw it and will not go back on again with this beaning said we going back on in May had a blast each time on the ship did not feel overcrowded on embarkation day it is a little crowded at first but then it’s just like any other ship and we were at full capacity each time

JohnsonL....you are incorrect with your guess that "something else must have upset cDoerr." Why don't you just make your evaluation on your own and not try to guess what others thought or felt? We spoke to many people on the cruise who thought it was very overcrowded. I'm happy for you that you weren't one of them that felt that way but dont try to discount others!

Other than the Windjammer on embarkation day, Allure never felt crowded. Of course we made our reservations in advance an arrived at shows early. As with any large ship, it is possible for a venue to have a line on occasion, but to the exclamatory degree of this review, something else must have upset ChrisDoerr like a total misunderstanding of large ship cruising. There are those of us that love the variety on Oasis class and those if us that probably should pick a smaller Royal ship or pay more for a Celebrity ship for example.

I went on the Allure for the first time last November my family and I loved it. It does get crowded when things are going on but that's to be expected. At certain times of the day or night you barely see a crowd. To me there all the same smaller or bigger there's going to be a crowd somewhere. But if you're the type of person that can't deal w/crowds maybe cruising is not for you.

I've been on Oasis and I must say I felt like I had more space to myself than I have ever had on any smaller ship, and the Oasis was at capacity. That's why after 3 years of smaller boats on carnival and RCC I've decided to do the Allure in June because the comparison is by far a landslide mega ship for me everytime from here on out!

I have been on three of the Oasis class ships and will be sailing Symphony in late November these ships have never seemed crowded to me even booked at full capacity and I have sailed on smaller class ships when they're at full capacity you can kind of feel the crowdeness ,but these Oasis classes are so massive and so many different neighborhoods and venues that is hard to picture that its being crowded because there's so many different spots to hit.

I agree with the op. We've done Oasis and Allure. Overall great cruises of course. Bueatiful ships, but way too crowded.

Dude you are crazy, I've been on Allure twice and have never felt like it was overcrowded. Maybe you should research your ships much better next time.

DreamCatchers    6 years ago

Out of all the ships I’ve been on Allure and Oasis are actually the ones I’ve never felt overcrowded on. All ships run at capacity these days. If you’re going during a holiday and or summer you can also count on the double capacity rooms being 3 or four people. So it’s going to be the same on any line during those times.

Love the allure but I like all cruises never no complaints from me just thankful I’m able to cruise

Seems to me like you’re leaving a somewhat bad review simply because you failed to do your research when booking.

Did you happen to go during spring break?!? 😎

cyndimom75    6 years ago

We loved the Allure! Never felt that way to us and the ship was at capacity. It has actually been our favorite cruise so far!
