Review summary

My daughter and I were highly impressed with the experience and would recommend RCC and the ship, Allure of the Seas. The staff were professional, efficient and friendly. There were many activities everyday so if you did not want to go to a port you had other options. The shows were excellent (we saw Mamma Mia). Plenty of food! We plan to book another cruise with RCC.

Embarkation

We were first-time cruisers so a bit anxious but staff was very helpful

Food was excellent and lots of it! You do not go away hungry.

Giovanni's Table

Service was excellent and the food was plentiful; the best filet mignon - tender and tasted great!

Ship Quality

very pleased with the ship, but would suggest newer designs include an escalator since the elevators would become very crowded

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My daughter and I were comfortable in the cabin. It was a inside balcony stateroom. A tight squeeze at times especially when trying to dress for dinners etc. but manageable. We do plan to upgrade to a junior suite next time because we would like the little extra space to spread out more. There was plenty of closet space, the round shower was large enough that we did not feel cramped. Complimentary bar soap and liquid body soap was provided. We requested extra towels which was provided everyday. Overall, the room was adequate for us considering the amount of time we spent in it when not roaming the ship. P.S. I have a note to bring more magnets on our next cruise.

Ship tip

Book your dinners, shows and excursions PRIOR to going on the cruise because they book up quickly once on the ship. Also, order your internet and drink packages prior to boarding to avoid the lines.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

We stayed in a hotel the day prior to debarkation but arrived too late to walk around.

Nassau, Bahamas

My daughter went ashore to go snorkeling on the ship sponsored excursion. She felt the company offering the excursion on shore was not well-organized (did not explain how to use the equipment).

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Plenty of shops for buying jewelry and souvenirs. Most outside vendors are paid in cash (do not accept credit cards). We were very pleased with the jewelry and service at Effy.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten Did not visit port

I just saw someone on your sailing who gave a bad review. I’ve sailed Allure 5x and loved it every time!

I'll be on harmony in June and almost wanted to go back to allure just so I could go watch Mamma Mia again! Lol saw it twice when I was on the allure in 2016.

@tomsheff76 you get your sail card at checkin. Your going to live that ship.

I loved that ship and it was never crowded

Thanks for the review. Quick question do you get your sea pass card when you are check in at the terminal or is it placed in the slot on your stateroom door? Going on Allure in May and was just curious as I had heard different things. Thank you.
