Review summary

If you can book this cruise thru , I would recommend it. Through the Cruise line, maybe not. Their prices are way too high. You don't have to book on-board shows before you leave. Room service is a flat rate of $7.95. You can order all that you want off the menu. ORDER all that you want! Trust me!

Embarkation

Smooth. We are a Gold member so we could move fairly quickly through the process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our server, Julianna and her assistant Qi, was excellent and very sweet. We looked forward to seeing them everyday.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We just sat in our lounge chairs and soaked up the sun! That was isea of activities!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
It's a beautiful ship!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin is small. They all are. But, it met our needs.

Ship tip

Pizza and cookies and cake are served 24 hours on the main promenade!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

This is where our cruise began. Went from the airport to the ship and back again at the end.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
The water was warm. Beach was clean. The lounge chairs were worn and broken!

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
The shops inside the compound were good. We shopped mainly for jewelry and Rum. Outside the gate, the scene is depressing third world!

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
See Jamaica!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We were one of the last to leave the ship. Our departure time was list as 9:30-9:45. We got to the assembly area to wait to be called by 9:10 and everyone else had left to ship. We were hustled off. The wait time getting our luggage and going through customs was fast!

DottieDiehl you are right you have to book your shows in advance to get a seat do it 90 days before your sailing date

Wow. That stinks. It must be a new thing because we said last December and it was included. I’m so bummed

The $7.95 is a new fee added to room service. So apparently the food on the normal room service menu is included according to what you see in the menu, so order as much as you want, but the delivery is charged. I thought I read that this was for the staff but as what has always been our habit we would provide the room service delivery person a cash tip for timely delivery and service with a smile. With this fee, RCCL is joining several other Cruise Lines doing the same.

You had to pay for room service? I️ thought it was included unless you ordered after midnight?

I booked online with RC and I had to make reservations for the shows now, to guarantee we get a seat for the Feb. 4th sailing.
