Review summary

It was a fantastic cruise. I didn’t want it to be over! I would do this cruise over. I loved how everyone seemed so happy who worked there. That’s truly unusual these days.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We paid for round trip transfers and there was a break down of communications with the inside and outside people. Therefore about 30 of us were left standing for about 20 minutes outside in the heat waiting for our bus. That wasn’t pleasant. Then we were treated like child at the pier waiting to get off the bus and told to identify our luggage. A piece of mine was still misplaced from the other two and very late in arriving at my stateroom. Not a smooth experience.

Everyone was so great except one lady at guest services who wasn’t the least bit concerned about my missing luggage!

It was beautiful and always so clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was very nice. I do wish the bathroom was bigger but we got what we paid for. The shower is so small.

Transfer booked thru our travel agent who booked it thru Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. We saw our bags when we got off our bus before embarking. They insisted!

Did you book your round trip airport to pier transfers through Royal Caribbean or through a third party shuttle company? We have done both, but it was only through the third party where we had to identify and collect our luggage. Granted on cruise line transfers at pier arrival, we always peek to see our bags; maybe not a necessity, but that we think is just a good habit for travelling anywhere. The service desk person could have empathized with you, but on an XL sized cruise ship on embarkation day, there is not much else to do other than letting the delivery process complete before declaring lost luggage. Glad that you did not let this bump distract from you enjoying the rest of the cruise. Very nice and informative review and we will remember your luggage experience on our upcoming AoS cruise.
