Review summary

I loved the Mamma Mia show.

We had a nice time.

The internet service staff was very frustrating to work with.  The surfing they claim is very slow and I should have known this. If I wanted to have my emails send and populate in less than 5 minutes per email, I need to purchase the Surf and stream for $28 per day.   I took the upgrade so I didn't have to spend 4 hours checking emails.   When I upgraded I asked for the 10% disc to be provided.  Since the other service was not working. Customer service on the phone stated I would be able to get the discount.  When I pulled bill it was not discounted. At service desk, they did not care and stated I needed to contact my travel agent to get corrected and that customer service had nothing to do with the discounts.   Customer service on boat is located in a poor position if you wanted  to hear what they are saying. Half the time at Customer Service I could not understand the person.   Very frustrating.

The  two COKE machines by the pizza place worked till the last few days. One was down for three days, The other was not working and the Windjammer machine was closed.   This is the only machine to get dt sprite.  When I ordered Diet sprite in the dinning room, they needed to take my room card and my glass to the bar tender to show that I really paid for the drink package.

Just the more I was on the ship, I felt RC was trying to make sure I did not cheat them and they were trying to stay in business.     Food was hit and miss.   I'm sure it's hard to serve this number of folks in the dining room.

This was our 2nd cruise on RC.  Lots of things to do, but not happy with the customer service and internet service.    I  kept hearing that you get free cruises the fast by gambling.  That's the only was to cruise, plus you get lots of specials when your a big gambler.    Can't say I like the smoky atmosphere that much to earn a free cruise.

Regards, kathy

I think it's really just a personal preference! If someone wants to stay connected or not is their business really! Just my personal feeling

i understand wanting to 'share' the sights with a few folks at home, but staying 'connected' to social media also lets the world know you are not at home.  Whether it is your valuables in your home or apartment, your car, your bank accounts, or your ID, you are paying money during your vacation to make yourself an easier target.  If it is not an emergency, which you can see in the subject of an e-mail, it really can wait.  Your neat photos and videos will be just as neat the week you return as they were when you were there, unless there is something else going on.

I was on Royal Carribean, the Allure! May be different between cruise lines?

Cyndimom75 I got my deluxe drink package through my travel agent and it was cheaper than carnival. I will have to find out if it has the internet with it cause she didn't tell us that it was or wasn't.

I like the internet because I love to post my pictures of our stop. I will get the internet so I can keep a check on my family too. It's not because I can't put my phone down but on my trips I love taken pictures and showing others just how beautiful the world should be.

I had a completely different experience! I had surf/stream which came with my deluxe drink package and it worked beautifully! I had to go to customer service twice and everything taken care of promptly/professionally! All of the food we ate in the many options offered was fabulous! This was my 10th cruise and by far the best! Room steward, MDR waiter and bar staff were exceptional! Shows excellent too

Oooooo no sounds awful 😬 but it does state on the RC website that in order to have proper internet access you should purchase the surf and stream ,if it's that important to get email maybe that's a lesson learned to always do this in future 👍🏻
