Review summary

Hi,

Ship is very nice but also very large.

Not enough complimentary dining areas.    RCL is pushing the specialty dining which you have to pay extra for.   There was plenty of seats at those restaurants.

They are also pushing My Time dining.    Good to have but they also need to make more space for the main dining.     They ran out of those seats very quickly.  I miss the large open main dining areas with multiple floors, open areas, music by a 2 or 3 piece orchestra, chandlers, etc.   Allure has all separate dining areas and they all have only one floor.   Dining is not the pleasure it once was and the food selection is getting more and more limited.

Excusions not that great.   I booked 2 of them and they both got changed.     Lots of time on buses to get there,  was not told about that, and they were all very crowded.

Next time I am booking on the smaller ships, well they are really big ones just not as large at the Allure.

Nice cabin but small. Everytime they build a new ship they make the rooms smaller.

Ship tip

Book early and setup all your dining and entertainment early. Everything fills up quickly. Too many people on the ship.

I Google included dining and we plan to try them all. There are actually many included places to eat.

Our travel agent was able to get early seating dining for our group. We always plan for one or two specialty experiences. Our special came with a free Giovani lunch. The cruise is in 30 days! Woo Hoo!

All cruise lines are pushing specialty dining that's where they make more money

We went through our travel agent who is awsome and does all tge dinner arrangements and showtime arrangements, so much easier than doing it yourself

Agree that many cruise lines seem to motivating people to try specialty dining. However never had a problem finding a seat on Oasis, not always pleased with the MDR food though.
