Review summary

This is our second cruise on the Oasis class (We were on Oasis of the Seas in Sept 2015 - same stops but just opposite route). Allure is designed exactly the same as the Oasis but we think the shows and Chops Grill seemed better. We also thought that there were more shows and activities planned this time around. Mama Mia and Ocean Aria show were great. All other shows were ok. Excursions booked through the ship were always well organized. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly. Food selection and availability the first three days was great but less food selection starting the fourth day. Food taste ok. Could be much better. Specialty dining, specifically Chops Grill was excellent. We had "my time dining" on this cruise and did not care much for it. We had to wait in line to sign in, there are times we did not get the same section or we were seated in a corner. Food served in Labadee was ok. Could have been more organized when serving food so guest do not have to wait in line for long to get their food. Purchasing the drink package was well worth it, specially if you like mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Drink package includes tip already but we still gave cash tip each time we ordered a drink, specially to those who go pout of their way to exceed our expectations. Two to three specialty dining is good but check menu daily or see if you can get menu for the week to determine when to schedule specialty dining. We purchased the Zoom and Stream internet package. Service was ok except when trying to download or send microsoft work/excel files or video messages. Downloading and receiving pictures are ok.

Overall, definitely recommend Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly. Shout-out to our stateroom attendant, head and assistant dining waiter, Chops Grill waiter and dining room beverage waiter. Looking forward to seeing them again on our September Eastern Caribbean Allure of the Seas cruise.

Food and Dining

Selection and taste could be better. There were dishes that were too salty and spicy. Its better to have less salt and spice and guest can add salt and spice to their liking than not be able to eat the food.

Love Mama Mia and Ocean Aria. All others were ok

Children's Programs

n/a to us but looks like the kids in the children program were having fun and we enjoyed watching the pirates night parade.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin is a good size for two but not for four. Location of bed when accessing cabinet is a little tight. Need more electrical outlets or add USB outlets

Ship tip

Buy drink package and internet service prior to boarding. Royal seems to have pre-boarding promotions for these two items. Also try to book excursions prior to trip or the moment you get onboard because the lines can get long fast.
