Review summary

Took this trip on Allure of the Seas due to the incentives offered and our hope that a bigger ship would be more stable and my wife would not get seasick. It worked! No seasickness and the extra onboard credit and free specialty meal provided by cruise.com was much appreciated also. The solarium was very nice for getting sun on seadays. The entertainment was better than expected. Food/service in the specialty restaurants was fabulous. Meals in the American Icon restaurant ( main dining room ) were just okay. Would go again for the same deal.

Very small with a cramped clothes closet. We tripped over everything. The tiny bathroom needed a night light for safety. A burned out room light was not replaced until the last day.

Ship tip

Several tips: Arrive at the terminal early and take a taxi from FLL instead of the transfers from RCCL. Try specialty dining ( Chops/ Giovanni's table) even though there"s an upcharge the food is better and service is spectacular. Use the adults only solariuum for sitting out on sea days.

This was a crowded busy port stop. A private island stop would have been better.

Thanks for the info. I get seasick even with the patch and wristbands but am going on Allure soon and staying mid ship. I hope this and the size of Allure helps with my seasickness.
