Review summary
This was our second time on a Royal Carribean cruise. We chose the Allure of the Seas because my daughter wanted to go on the worlds largest cruise ship. This will probably be our last time that we sail with Royal Carribean;
Here are some of the things we liked about the boat;
Beautiful ship/very big
Alot of activities for the kids to do
Entertainment was good
Here are the things we did not like;
Very expensive cruise not worth the money/they cut back on alot of things that used to be standard on other Royal Carribean criuses
Worst food ever/felt like they cut back on quality/had second seating and on lobster night couldn't get more because the galley was closed.Never heard of such a thing/Breakfast in the Main Dinning Room they ran out of white toast.For such a large ship this is unheard of.
Our room was so small.We paid for a Balcony room over looking the ocean.This was the smallest room that we have ever been in on a cruise. There was 4 of us. No space,no closet room,had to live out of our suit cases/Room very dirty,carpet never cleaned,hair in the bathroom not ours
11 o'clock at night everyting died down,only 2 places open to get something to eat.Either pizza at one place or little sandwiches at another.Very poor for after hours/i think we lost so pounds on this cruise
On sea days Zip Line,Flow Rider,and Rock Wall were only opened for certain times.For such a large ship and so many passengers they need to have these things open 10 to 5.They only did this on our last day.
Over all didn't like cruise not worth the money

I have taken several cruises on RCCL including the Allure and the Oasis. Sorry that the food did not live up to your expectations. My only complaints about food on the Allure is that we were unable to eat in the buffet on Embarkation Day due to volume.
As for the small room, I am sure that it felt smaller due to the four passengers sharing it. .At least the ports of call were good and the entertainment.
I would go on either of these ships again if only they left from my local port. Our port is building a huge new terminal (ready by Nov.) and widening/deepening the channel so huge ships can dock here. I am keeping my fingers crosses that someday one of these ships will be home ported here. .

Our next cruise is to the Caribbean but that’ll be with another cruise line. Our next Royal Caribbean cruise will be Northern Europe in 2015! (Plus we have a couple of Celebrity cruises planned. Love that you get Elite perks there for having Diamond with Royal!)

I would never try to get four people in a cabin we have done three for years but never four.What we do is stack our luggage inside each other and put under beds works perfectly.I have been a Royal Caribbean sailed since 1990 and have been pleased with the service that's why I have Diamond status .Other cruise line food not have as good as Royal Caribbean.
