Review summary

I dont care how many cruises you've been on this ship is unlike any other. It was so amazing. Every inch of the ship is marked with such detail. The clubs are so nice and there are so many to choose from we never made it to each one. The schooner lounge and champaigne bar are just breathtaking as is the Viking Crown Lounge. it us usually empty up there I'm not sure why. There's lots of places to sit so you will never have to worry about not getting a chair but the 4 pools are small and quite packed everyday. One thing I did not enjoy was My Time Dining. It's very hurried and doesnt have that personal touch from your waiter like you do in regular dining. You miss the waiter show and they play nice music at dinner in the regular seating. Make sure you eat dinnner at least one night in the Windjammer. What a variety and you watch the sunset. It is alot more expensive to take this ship than others in the line but worth every dime! I just cant say enough about the wow factor of this ship and all there is to do.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We all thought dinner portions were very very small so most nights our party ordered 2 dinners. We'd get steak option and a fish dinner. We noticed many tables around us were doing the same thing.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
This is one of my favorite things about the ship. Never have a down moment. There was so much going on from Flash Mob dance lessons mid-day, to ice skating shows Olympic style to whatever you could imagine. You will never be bored.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I cant say enough about how the staff loves this ship. They go above and beyond to make you happy. They all told us how excited they were to get assigned on this ship. Everyone is so proud of the Allure and they want to make sure you are very happy.

Cabin / Stateroom

I thought the rooms seemed bigger than prior cruises. We got a Central park balcony suite and it was awesome. Our stateroom attendant was a precious lady we really wanted to bring home with us.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

I didnt even get off the ship and I noticed many other joined me. This is so overrated. The overpriced Atlantis is the only thing to really see on this island and if your not staying in the hotel they limit where you can go in the hotel and your not allowed near the pool. They are happy to allow you in the cafe where a 1/2 of sandwich cost $10/15.00. I've been there a few other times so I took this time to stay onboard and enjoy the ship.
Don't Miss: The water is beautiful so if you've never jet skiied you may want to do that.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

What a waste of time, Oh my gosh it was the dirtiest nastiest place I've ever been. They took us to a "shopping" place that was just junk and then drove us all over the French side and the Dutch side and good lord I couldnt believe it. The roads were terrible and the "nice part" wasnt nice at all. Dumpy looking casino's, rough sea's at the beach part and even the homes with a view didnt keep their yards up. I will never return to this island it was awful.
Don't Miss: Dont waste your money you will be very dissappointed!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We did the land/sea tour. What a beautiful amazing island St. T is. I cant wait to go back again.
Don't Miss: The shops are mainly all jewerly but the real attraction was seeing the island.

Pros: The shows were 5 Star and the food was spectacular. The detail of this is ship is unlike any other cruise you've ever been on. The Coach and Guess store were a nice touch as well.

Cons: The ship is so big that it does lack that closeness you usually feel on ships. It takes all week before you know where you are.
