Ship: Allure of the Seas

Cabin type: Balcony

Review summary

We marveled at the detail throughout the ship, the variety of venues, attention to detail, cleanliness, seamless operational procedures, the number of opportunities to do something different every day or do nothing every day, excellent meals, and great service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The quality of the food in the main dining room, the Windjammer, and two of the speciality dining areas (Chops and Giovanni'e Table) was terrific. Gourmet quality

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The quality of the entertainment on the ship was extremely high. One of the poolside activities was childish and overbearing. Overall, however, everything was excellent except for that one activity.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We did not encounter one single individual who was not smiling, pleasant and helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean, neat and maintained consistently throughout the seven day cruise

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
A very liveable space in a business venture designed to keep the costs down to a minimum. Every inch of space was maximized in its use but the living space was very comfortable

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
No restaurants but the ship's lunch was excellent; the best sites were the beaches and the beautiful water; there were no "must see's on this small port of call.
Don't Miss: The shopping areas

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
Although unavoidable, the distance from where the ship docked and the excursions was a negative. It took over an hour to get there and back.
Don't Miss: Although not completed, the shopping area on the port will be a must see.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
The shopping area and the beaches were great.
Don't Miss: The shopping area close to the ship and the varitey in the city.

Pros: The fluid organization from registration to walking off of the ship

Cons: Some of the poolside activities were just too silly
