Review summary

Had a great cruise - Royal Caribbean is our favorite cruise line and they didn’t disappoint- the ship is a little dated but you’re also not going to pay the big prices of the newer ships.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Super easy and quick!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and service was really great in the main dining room and the buffet was always nice for a quick meal and food was good!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool was great, make sure to get out there early if it’s an at sea day. Flow rider was fun, but a bit of a wait - later in the afternoon the line was usually shorter and the kids like the kids club.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Did the family silent disco and also saw a couple of the game shows and closing night show - really fun!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
They had a great time, and we like the option to drop the kids off for a couple hours to have some time without them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service on board was great and friendly, always top on Royal Caribbean!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship is a bit dated, fine for the price and our needs, but not all the bells and whistles of the new cruises, but also is a cheaper ship to cruise on.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Besides the cabin being a bit dated - it had a ton of storage, maybe a bit much to be honest, would be nice to have a bit more space and the storage reduced. But beds were pretty good and the kids liked the foldout bed. Curtains were black out which was nice too.

Ship tip

Get outside early on the pool deck for days at sea. If you’re having 6 drinks or more a day do the drink package!

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
Port was nice, didn’t do an excursion but enjoyed the town.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico Did not visit port

Due to safety (weather) we were in Cozumel an extra day.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Good easy port to get on off, restaurants near the port were really expensive- had a great excursion to some Mayan ruins.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Pretty quick and easy, Galveston port was really quick and friendly.

This will be our first cruise and I haven't found much info on disembarking. Can you tell me what time you made it off the ship?

Glad you enjoyed it. Another reviewer on the exact same cruise said they had the same food every day and it was terrible and debarkation was not good. It seems to be the attitude of the cruiser that makes the difference.
