Fun and easy get away. Great value for the $. Enjoy the food, ship, and Cozumel.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The new Royal Caribbean Terminal 10 is amazing. Parking lot to onboard in about 20 minutes!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The service was impeccable, simply amazing. The food was excellent in the main dining room. We enjoyed one night in Giovanni's (Italian specialty restaurant) which was very good. Not happy that some passenger (?) had reserved the entire restaurant for 3 nights of the cruise.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The spa is typical of most similar shops with a nicely appointed fitness center. Spa staff were very good, but had to do the typical upselling for products and services.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The musical shows (other than the '70's Reflection') were very good. The ice show was excellent, not too miss.
Children's Programs
Did not travel with children this time.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Consistently excellent and friendly service. Room stewards went above and beyond, and dining room managers and waiters were excellent.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The Adventure OTS really shows its age in the design. It is pretty well maintained though. Waverider area a waste of space, no thermal lounge in spa that we like on the newer ships. The layout was good as we never felt crowded except during parades on the Promenade.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This is a J3, Jr Suite, and we loved the cabin. Lots of space and excellent storage space (even a walk in closet!).
Tourist trap. Although they try to make it as cultural as possible, it's a glorified shopping center. Lots of animals on display, but seemed sad to see them trapped in a 'zoo' setting.
Would have been much better to have 2 days in Cozumel and skip Costa Maya. Lots to do on the island and in the sea. We enjoyed the Atlantis Submarine (real submarine, not on tracks) which showed us the reef down to 110 ft depth.
