Review summary

Enjoyed this cruise with the two sea days to relax after embarkation and two at the end before debarkation. The port of calls were beautiful with lots to do. The crew were wonderful in taking care of us. All in all this is our favorite cruise. It’ll hard to top but we’ll try.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

We ate in the main dining room, windjammer, and Chops. It all was fabulous. Many choices at Windjammer and very well prepared in all venues. Great service overall. Greatly appreciate their making sure I was happy since I have dietary restrictions (gluten-free).

Ship Quality

I have traveled on Oasis class and love them. But I found this size to be easier for getting around to different venues and never felt crowded. The ship needs a little update but was well-maintained and very clean. Would love to sail again on her.

Ship tip

Don’t be afraid to ask if you need anything. Wonderful crew onboard. And enjoy.

Ports of call

Willemstad, Curacao

Decided to do a city tour with a local tour bus. While the bus was not the most modern (no air conditioning), we had a safe driver and our tour guide seemed very knowledgeable. He gave the tour both in English and Spanish (even though those were not his first language). The city is beautiful with a diverse population. We even stopped at a beautiful spot to take pictures of the city and port. A short tour of blue curaçao distillery was also included. And if anyone wanted to get off for a short (one hour and half) trip to beach they would pick them back up and take them to port. After tour, we shopped and the locals were friendly and helpful with anything in particular we were looking for (husband wanting old license plates) but not pushy. Beautiful people, beautiful island.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

We did a beach excursion on Klein Bonaire. Beautiful beach and great for snorkeling if you are so inclined. We were not but enjoyed the lovely water anyway. Just bring a lot of sunscreen. Not a lot of shade on this beach.

Oranjestad, Aruba

Beautiful island and yes, they are the happy island. Such kind, happy people. Did a submarine reef excursion which was amazing! Highly recommend if you do not snorkel. Wish I could have done more at this port. May have to fly here next time for the full experience.

Disembarkation

We self-disembarked and it was smooth and fairly quick. With the facial recognition at customs we were on our way in no time.

Glad you enjoyed it. We were on AoS on the same itinerary in November and loved it as well.
