4th cruise with RC. By far most disappointing. Make check out other cruise lines next trip.

Kudos for the simple on-boarding experience. No lines and no wait

Food and Dining

Food in main dining was a big disappointment. Mediocre for the most part. Windjammer typical buffet food. The only "specialty" night that was above average was the Mexican night. Turkish night was inedible. Chops was amazing. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Service was fabulous also. Waiter was Wendell. 5 stars for Wendell!
Onboard Activities

Had to get up at 6:00 AM to get a seat in the solarium. Signs asking for people not to save seats completely ignored. Supposedly if any seat claimed was unoccupied for more than 30 minutes was released. That was a complete joke. Seats unoccupied for hours in many cases.
We literally had to get up at 6:00 AM to get seating there. That`s ridiculous. It would not be as bad if the the other loungers in the main pool area were even remotely comfortable, but they are not. If more comfortable loungers were available throughout then problem would be solved. I have a bad back and the regular loungers became unbearable after an hour or so. Fitness center was good. Did not take advantage of other offerings so can`t comment.
Entertainment

Ice show was excellent. Rookie was great. Comedian good. The rest of the performances were mediocre. The Prince Purple Rain piece was just bizarre and frankly an insult to Prince.
Service and Staff

3.5 . would be more accurate. Cabin steward Roberto was great. Bento at the pool bar very good. In general most were friendly. Very strange bartender at the Dog and Duck. Wish I could remember his name. Guy was downright creepy.
Ship Quality

Only complaint was that the bed was hard. O.k at first but by about day 5 became uncomfortable.
Departure point small and crowded. Completely messed up our excursion. Gave us the wrong wristbands and ended up on the wrong excursion. Signed up for sail and beach time. They sent us on the snorkeling tour instead. Would have been o.k if we were ready to snorkel but we were not. Ended up transferring us to the beach but ended up having less than an hour there before heading back to the ship. Complete debacle.
Port was fine but RC cancelled our snorkel excursion which was the number one thing we wanted to do. All the rest of the snorkel tours were booked. Fortunately found a great snorkel excursion after getting off the boat. It was $40 cheaper and far superior than the one we had cancelled by RC. So....booked 2 excursions through RC and both were disasters. If I ever book a cruise with RC again I will most certainly not book another excursion through them.
Maybe you shouldn't Cruise because I've been on Oasis of the Seas twice and adventure of the Seas and neither were disappointing at all. You probably should just take a plane to go somewhere instead of a cruise ship.
We didn't like Adventure either. Extremely disappointed with the condition of the ship compared to others in the RC fleet. Our room attendant was barely worth the extra tips I always give out on the last day. The Wind Jammer food wasn't nearly as good as my previous cruises. I considered if it was me being overly critical... staff wasn't very engaging. Like always though, if you voice your concern, RC will practically fix it on the spot. Their customer service is far superior to other liners...I will continue to cruise with RC because they always make things right. I'm sorry you guys are disappointed too. Call RC and tell them you're considering a switch. They should try and keep you... typically offer discounted next cruise or onboard credit.
We were on the Adventure on the same itinerary in November and loved it. We found good variety and quality in the dining room and buffet. We also found more to do onboard than we had time to do. Saving loungers is an issue on most cruise lines. If the items are there for 30 min or more, just turn them in to the attendant and the loungers are yours. I will agree with you about the port being crowded at Aruba. We made the mistake of booking an excursion through the ship there and it was a disaster. No one knew where we should go, they eventually sent us to the wrong bus, late arriving, etc. We will stick with our usual independent excursions in the future.
