Royal really dropped the ball on this cruise, they lost my platinum status in their system and finally fixed it on the last day but never got any of the platinum extras, they need to hire new people to run this company from the CEO down........

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food in the MDR was great, the windjammer was worse than a truck stop buffet. Bars were good but ran out of many beers, seltzer drinks and booze half way through the cruise which is very poor planning.

The piano man at the schooner bar was Awesome and saved the cruise. The DRUNK Irish guy at the pub wash drunk before playing every night and ruined the pub for everyone. he didnt want requests but wanted to play his own drunk irish garble music.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
TERRIBLE..... maybe half spoke english, the staff in the captains style shirts think they have the the priveledge to cut in any line for coffee and food. Guest services has zero care for most issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

decent size cabin, carpet was old and needed replacement ASAP, walls and ceiling were damaged, mattress was old and was terrible, bathroom sink barely had hot water.
***TV didnt work till the last day of the cruise...... terrible waste of money
Ship tip
book a newer ship, or book with another cruise company.
I was on exact same sailing. And have to completely disagree about the condition of the ship. It is in excellent condition dry dock was last year. Where was the rust? What ships have a majority English first language crew (besides Pride of America)? Agree -There were tv signal issues on this sailing. Hot water was as simple as turning on faucet and waiting. (If you turn on hot water in shower, it came faster).
Opinion- Food was normal for RC (which can be hit or miss) but this cruise was better than many others.
Tip: Check online booking and seapass card for loyalty status, otherwise contact loyalty ambassador or C&A.
I DO believe the reviee about piano guy Keith at Schooner...AMAZING! and Kiesha..the washy washy girl who he allows to sing with him. We spent many nights at Schooner bar. As far as other issues...didnt see it.
We were on the same ship and the same sailing date. I don't agree with the ships condition. We didn't see any of that. We had been on this ship 2 years ago also.
I too have a hard time believing this review. We were on the Adventure for 8 days in November and saw or experienced nothing like what you mentioned. I find it hard to believe the ship fell apart in the 2 weeks after we departed. We found the room and mattresses were in good condition, did not see any rust or damage to the common areas or any of the other issues you mentioned. We found a good variety of food selections in both the buffet and dining room and the quality was good. It’s not gourmet food, but the best you can expect when they are feeding thousands of people 3 times a day for weeks on end. If the standards aren’t to your liking, try Crystal, Symphony or Viking, which offers a more upscale experience.
