Review summary

May not be the best ship in the fleet but as with any Royal Caribbean cruise it was worth the money. The staff makes it so memorable.

Embarkation

Smooth, but could have been a bit quicker. The information we put in on the online registration had to be redone anyway which took longer than it should have.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great

Windjammer Marketplace

5 out of 5

The food was excellent every time I stopped in! And who doesn’t love “washy washy”. I honestly believe the food here is just as good as specialty dining.

Cafe Promenade

4 out of 5

I love the light selection, but I prefer the bigger ships separation from the pizza seem to be more convenient when you’re just after a snack. Great spot to people watch.

Main Dining Room

5 out of 5

I cannot say enough about the wait staff they are remarkable and meeting your every need and wish !!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did it all, easy and fun

Art and Photo Gallery

3 out of 5

I like the digital display rather than the actual printed pictures, but it seems they could possibly move that to there app and save the floor space on the ship for something else in the future .

Swimming Pools

3 out of 5

The swimming pools were OK on this cruise, but the kids water play area was extremely limited compared to Liberty of the Sea. I guess that goes to show they are making better improvements on the newer ships.

Jogging Track

4 out of 5

After sailing the larger ships which moved the jogging track to deck four isolating it from sunbathers, I now noticed how crowded the track is on the upper deck during the day.

Skylight Chapel

5 out of 5

So glad they keep this small sanctuary available for times you just need a moment of silence.

Logo Souvenir Shop

4 out of 5

However pricey it seems, they still offer good values on their markdowns.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
As always top notch. Would have liked a broadway show

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Teens loved it, we also enjoyed interacting with explorers as a family. Didn’t appreciate the 6-12 year olds being combined.

Adventure Ocean

5 out of 5

Our kids were begging us to drop them off they had so much fun. We had four children eligible for adventure ocean one in the four-year-old, one in the seven-year-old, and two in the 9 to 12-year-old. The activities were age-appropriate but they combined a seven-year-old with a 9 to 12-year-old due to the size, it made it look very crowded to me .

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Awesome, very accommodating. Our son has a BiPAP and a rechargeable wheelchair which they supplied us with extension cords and even distilled water. We had my time dining and they worked it out where we sat with the same waiter every night except one night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout was good. It was nice to be able to walk along the outside and see the ocean on deck 4

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
By far the best cabin I have ever had. The ultra spacious ocean view was super !!!

Ship tip

The children’s pool is not as big as other ships play area. Very restrictive on child playing either need to be in swim diapers or above 46 inches. If you’re caught in the middle you can’t use them

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Much better than it used to be years ago

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Enjoyed it very much

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Walked to the beach which was a little disappointing. Worth the money to get a cab to a better beach.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
First time ever being there. Absolutely loved it! Hired a private cab for much cheaper than an excursion and explored almost everything

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Do to the high number of walk offs and not enough customs agents was slower than normal but still pretty good

I would love to see them do a Broadway show, but sadly that's only available on larger class ships.
