Review summary

This was our sixth cruise but first on RCL. This ship is huge with a lot of amenities for children. It's a beautiful ship that rides well through high seas. The staff for the most part was excellent, especially the dining room staff and the room steward. Other staff were difficult as many of them did not understand English. The entertainment was seriously lacking compared to other cruises, the headline shows were amateurish at best. Many times there was a void in the entertainment and guests were walking around looking for something to do. The food was good, but not excellent, and the offerings were only average, certainly nothing near haute cuisine. Also, there were too many "upcharges" for ship amenities. Extra cost for the Italian restaurant, extra charges for the Johnny Rockets restaurant ($5.00 milkshakes), extra charges for the Ben & Jerry Ice Cream, etc etc etc. Lot of guests felt like they were being "nickel and dimed" to death, rather have an "all-inclusive" fee up front like other cruise ships. On the plus side, with 3600 guests on board, there were never any long waits for anything. We personally wouldn't sail this particular ship again.
