Review summary

This was our 3rd cruise with Royal Caribbean, the first on the Adventure of the Seas. Once again, RCCL did not disappoint us. Everything was wonderful, the accommodations, the food, the shows, the cleaniness, but most importantly, the STAFF! It makes a big difference in how you feel as a passenger when you feel that the working folks on board really do want to make you feel welcome and try to accommodate you as much as they possibly can. We only hope that this never changes because we love to cruise on Royal Caribbean and are very grateful that we have had such wonderful experiences!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Sometimes the Windjammer Cafe had a hard time keeping up with the folks, and the food was not always hot, but we understood and still enjoyed it.

We only hope Royal Caribbean realizes how much their staff helps their image and appreciates them as much as we do!

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We just did shopping; local people very pushy about their desire for you to go into "their" shops.

Willemstad, Curacao

We felt Palm Beach, while pretty, was disappointing with the rocks and coral; it made it very difficult to swim or even stand in the water.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We actually took a boat ride to St. John and went to Trunk Bay, the most beautiful beach we have ever been to.

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
Not impressed with Aruba; too much construction going on; however, our boat trip there was very pleasant, and the crew of the boat was very nice.

Pros: The friendliness and attentiveness of ALL the staff on the ship

Cons: Not enough gift shops
