Review summary

Excellent food--balcony rooms sort of small; love the huge 5 story mall in middle of ship--also went ice skating twice and their ice show is fabulous; rock climbing for those who can do it--all sorts of sports you an play: tennis, basketball, etc. They ran all sorts of cute things around the pool: men's belly flop champions-other games there. So much to do you can't do it all. Dining room is beautiful--3 on top of each other--staff stings on the red carpeted stairway twice during the cruise (the dining room staff) which is fun to hear and see. Also liked Aruba which is beautiful and twice now we have gone on the catamaran to Palm Beach--it's a great trip off the ship. Curacao was intersting and of course St. Thomas has a lot going on. WE did the beach and Coral tour--which was excellent too.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Although 3800 on board--no lines at all really going off the ship nor going into the dining room. The 24 hour buffet restaurant was excellent too--staff pours coffee and refills and the food was always hot. They even make omlets here with 3 chefs providing them. Dining room was excellent food--prepared well-fancy desserts--our staff serving was wonderful. You could arrive later than 6 p.m and it wasnt a problem at all. Had a table for 10--which worked out fine.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
So much to do--classes-programs of all types--games, cards, library, computers, skating, free coffee, food, pastry at their cafe in the mall. Lots of special events around the pool in the evening. Never boring!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff friendly, willing to help.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Decor is nice--staff works on keeping ship clean-layout easy to get use to-the theater is large and was never completely full so no problem with getting there close to time of show. The Imperial Louge was also nice--some events scheduled for there.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small shower--we had a balcony--2 chairs, small table. Beds were excellent--we had a queen or king--not sure--refrigerator in room except it was filled for you to purchse items. Didn't like that--Princess provides empty one for your wine or whatever.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

OUr favorite activity--done it twice: America's Cup racing--it's fantastic and #1 activity to do in the Caribbean. You actually sail the sailboats--one is Stars and Strips that won in 1987 and 2 Canadian--We were on the North 4 Canadian and we won on this and the Stars and Stripes the first time. We chose this tour so we could do this again. Would do it the next time too! 3 crew members and then we do the rest. You can observe or be active member of the crew--extremely exciting and fun!!!!
Don't Miss: See above

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Lots of great things to do here-parasailing seems reasonable; we did the coral world and beach tour--it was excellent--
Don't Miss: too many to mention

Oranjestad, Aruba

Two things we have done: Catamaran to Palm Beach-excellent and 4 wheel drive tour that included all the important sights on a previous tour. WE didn't drive--there were 2 vehicals that did this--seated 4 to 6 so it was like a private tour. Went through dessert area-

Willemstad, Curacao

Pretty port--did the trolley tour--it showed you the island and you learned about the area--let you off in shopping area or back at ship. Very safe area to walk around in yourself.
Don't Miss: Liked the above

Pros: America's Cup race in St. Marrtin

Cons: Not toilitries provided on ship
