Very enjoyable New Zealand Cruise by tendertoe

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

A very relaxing cruise, good amenities, excellent staff and fantastic food. Interesting and beautiful ports and some great photographic opportunities. The only negative was the wine tasting excursion, the bus tour driver was great but the actual wine tasting was dismal.

First Time Cruiser and LOVED everything about it by HazelNuts

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

First time cruiser with husband and friends and we all loved it. We watched shows and did some group activities on board and watched some live bands. There was so much to do and see that we didn’t have time to get bored. Definitely will be going on a cruise again.

Ovation of the Seas 3 day adventure by ruth3500

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

We had an amazing time the ship is just beautiful, plenty to do or not to do. There were 4600 passengers travelling with us and of that 600 Hello World event was happening and it didn't impact any of the activities or events we wanted to see or do. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Would travel on this ship again in the future, Royal Carabine always provides impeccable service and makes your holiday one to remembers.

1st time on a larger ship and totally impressed with RCI and Ovation 3 days not enough to get used to this cruise liner. by marilynalderson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

Our 1st time on a ship of this size, we usually like the smaller ships, but, in saying that it was a wonderful cruise, many places to relax, loved the decor and adult areas, all the bars were great. The ship is very easy to move around in even with the number of people on board and we never felt crowded, shopping areas great to navigate and always something new to find, eateries all excellent with a vast a menu, service was excellent.

Great Australia and New Zealand Cruise by jeffnDenver

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Noordam / Destination: South Pacific - Australia

This was a bucket list trip for us and we were not disappointed. New Zealand is a very scenic country and all of the locals we met were very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed Australia as well and are very glad we had four full days to explore Sydney before the cruise began. The Noordam is a midsized ship that is getting older, but the recent refurbish gave the ship a newer feel (we also sailed on the Noordam in 2014 and it seemed more worn at that time).

Amazing Cruise on Ovation of the Seas by SusanL23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

Had an amazing time, was great weather. Ship lacked some entertainment. Other Lifts wouldn't stop if a lift was already at that level. Good variety of shops and eating areas.

So much time; so many islands! by bmetcalf

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Amsterdam / Destination: South Pacific

The ship is aging gracefully. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful I've met outside of the Disney Cruise Line. I didn't meet one staff member I wished to avoid and several I would have hired. The most interesting aspect of this cruise was seeing the Polynesian and Melanesian island cultures. All are basically "stone age" cultures -- I say this not as an insult but by noting that the islands have no metals, thus no progression through the tin, bronze, and iron ages. Clearly a common background, each island has their own unique take and their culture. All have added some western tools and traditions, most notably Christianity, but these are still clearly overlays not fully integrated into their way of life. As a westerner, I certainly couldn't long stand living there, but for those not accustomed to, or not appreciative of, modern life, I can see it would be very attractive.
