Amazing Antarctica by lianng

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: South America

A great itinerary overall - would have been great to be able to get on land more. With so many sea days, there need to be more variety in food, entertainment and activities - felt repetitive after awhile. There seems to be a lack of seafood in the buffet besides fish. Most of the cooking are too similar - Indian food was great, but need more variety - Chinese, Japanese, etc.

A truly great cruise line by vonharrison

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: South America

We love Oceania , it is our favorite cruise line for the type of cruises we want to be on. The ships are a good size for us, and there are few young children. The clientele is older, which sometimes results in a pace slower than we like, but overall people are polite and don’t drink too much or cause other problems. The few and staff are simply the best, and the experience is well worth the money. The specialty restaurants are wonderful and the food is very high quality all over the ship. The excursions are increasingly more expensive than they should be, and the WI-FI is really frustrating. The WI-FI is their weakest point; it is available to one person per cabin at a time, but the worst thing is that it is so difficult to get on, stay on, and log off, so the other person can get on. I also wish they had an onboard app to be able to communicate with family an friends. Laundry facilities are available and free. Our butler service and our concierge was fantastic. Valuable discounts for booking future cruises are available if you book onboard, and the staff in the Ambassador Club is great. The food is great and cleanliness is top notch.

Antartica cruise by PV64

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: South America

Great experience . Amazing scenery, perfect weather. Calm ocean except for Port Stanley. We were able to see the wildlife: penguins and whales. Great food in the Argentinian and Uruguayan ports. Excellent post tour cruise with lots of food. Definitely would recommend this once in a lifetime experience.

Antarctica was awesome by CoMtnCruisers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: South America

Antarctica was great other ports of calls were so-so. Felt like a transatlantic cruise because of the number of sea days. Production shows were similar to other cruises, nothing new. Guest entertainers were average.

Bad weather, missed ports, contagious cold, lots of spanish speakers by seekmyface

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Eclipse / Destination: South America

We have been on the south America journey 8 years ago on a small ship and enjoyed it. We did not have a good experience on the big boat. Ports are not made for these big ones. Suggest if you want to go, do it on a small ship

Breathtaking Bucket List Destination by Docntx

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Azamara Pursuit / Destination: South America

Excellent ship, overall good value. Excursions seemed a bit steep, although run well. Ship seems to have minor problems surprising for being the youngest of the fleet. Captain and crew are exceptional. Minor questions: Why no outside temperature included in all the ship info? Why have HD TVs and only SD programming?

Fantastic cruise through the Panama Canal by elenaprior

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: South America

Our first cruise with Oceania. Exceptional food. We loved that so much was included - specialty dining (which was like eating in 5-star restaurants) didn't cost extra, bottled water was handed out at every port, espresso drinks and pastries were always available, laundry was included (and if you wanted to do it yourself, it was free). The hands-on cooking classes were fantastic. The lectures were interesting. Afternoon tea with a string quartet was a nice touch. They were serious about keeping us healthy with hand washing and plastic wrap around buffets. We went to ports where norovirus is endemic and to their great credit, no one got sick. Great service, and always with a smile.

Natural Sites Exceptional -Ship/Cruise not so much by fernpete

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: South America

It is obvious that the overall rating is skewed in that the high rarings for all the ports make the rating higher than it should be. I would put the overall rating at a 3.0 (Okay). The Norwegian Star's has to address the quality of the food from it's restaurants and make it more appealing and tasteful.

Good experience by antonioro

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Fantasia / Destination: South America

In general I will give a 7 out of 10 for this cruise. In the past I did Carnival, NCL, Disney and Celebrity, all of them are much better than MSC. I selected MSC only because I was at Brazil, but I don't think I will select it again in the near future
