Great cruise until disembarkation ruined the entire experience. And, we have touted AMA Waterways with friends (our 2nd cruise with AMA).

We have done a couple large ship cruises which were ok. We did a "barefoot" cruise on a small sailing ship that was a lot of fun and 22 years ago did a river cruise on Viking. That cruise was great, but the ship was not nearly as nice as the Tapestry II. We loved the Avalon atmosphere and vibe and will definitely do another river cruise with Avalon.

The Viking staff was exceptional from the one who cleaned the room to the ship captain. Friendly, made efforts to know our name and the food was absolutely the best. Felt like leaving family on our debarking morning. The transfers to hotel to airport to ship were perfect. The pre and post hotels were top notch and their breakfasts was like being on the ship. The delay in getting rooms was hard on us since we had been on a plane forever but they had to clean after previous guests which was understandable.

Worth every penny! The perfect combination of sailing on a cruise and exploring the areas around you.

Relaxing cruising, some interesting tours, Germany beautifully green! Wait staff not as attentive as we expected.

Would highly recommend to anyone. Guides were amazing and trips we made were fantastic. Viking knows how to move people with ease.

This was a great cruise. The staff were the best. Tours were very good. We went the end of May/first of June so weather was good. Boat is small but beautiful. We were worried that we would be the youngest passengers but that was not the case. Viking should be considered by any adult wanting a quite but beautiful cruise.

The tour guides were excellent, especially Michael for the Munich and Salzburg pre-cruise excursions. Sadness in Budapest at the fatal collision (not involving our ship). I know Viking is more distressed than we are and we encourage Viking to pursue opportunities to make the river safer in Budapest.

Overall, a very educational experience with good food, outstanding staff, comfortable as could be on a river boat. All tours (with one exception) were guided by the most wonderful, knowledgeable entertaining individuals that could be wished for !! They all deserve congratulations.

I would go on this cruise again in a heartbeat. The best food, service , great included and optional excursions, wonderful cruise director and manager. Can't say enough about how pleased I was to be on this cruise.

Except for both my wife and I getting sick with bronchitis and tracheitis shortly after the cruise started and weather being colder than expected it was an excellent trip. The views from our stateroom, sundeck, bar and dining room most outstanding. The BMW Factory tour was highlight and Prague is my new favorite city in Europe.

A very lovely experience. Viking took care of all our needs and was very well organized.

This was our 7th Viking Cruise, and we think this had the best customer service ever. The whole staff was very attentive, extremely friendly, and remember our needs and preferences. My husband can not eat bread or anything made out of flour, and they made sure he always can chose the right food for each meal. Absolutely the best service!!!

Love Ama Waterways. Staff are kind and friendly and competent. Excursion options include excellent tour guides and first class buses. Least happy with final Marriott Hotel in Zurich. Location was good, but not all of us in the same building made connecting difficult.

Highly recommend! Well orchestrated. Informative. I like the local cuisine offered on the menu each day.

Loved. Loved. Loved this cruise. It was our 2nd cruise and we bought another certificate to cruise with Viking again. It was amazing how they took our large group of 10 and treated us like we were the only ones on the ship. It was so personal and loved all the Croatians on the ship.

Viking still does it right. The cruise from Passau to Budapest (plus the pre-cruise stay in Prague - highly recommended) was on a well-appointed clean ship, with attentive and pleasant staff. The river itself is picturesque (coming into Budapest at night is amazing), and many of the stops have interesting old architecture and interesting history (from the Habsburg Empire era, WWII, communists, and now democracy). All in all, both relaxing and informative.
