ONE OF THE BEST CRUISES EVER! by wjh0927

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The staff was very good attentive to our needs and responsive. Food in the Buffet was very good. Especially the service and offerings. Land trips through the cruise lines was informative. Tour guides English was good and the information about the local history was educational.

Disappointed with Celebrity by reg4uny

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We paid a lot of money for a suite, but didn’t know it was going to be in such bad shape. The veranda was very small and needed painting, and the furniture is very tired. The view was less than suitable with a lifeboat that was very dirty directly beneath us. Fresh fruit does not have mold on it ( I have a photo of it).

Ship was beautiful, staff was wonderful, food was very good, tours were a dissapointment. by jbbib

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Orion / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Ship, food and staff were excellent. Tours were in general poor. Hong Kong pre tour was poorly organized and over priced. Beijing extension was top shelf with wonderful sites and guides. Optional dinner was spectacular. Included lunches were very good.

Great Ports by donnar3232

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Orion / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Awesome ship. The staff was very accommodating. The food was tasty but not so much for the fish other than delicious crab legs & sushi. We enjoyed the wine list as it was interesting to try different wines by the glass. This was something we enjoyed as they rotated the same wines over & over, We simply just got bored. The spa was absolutely wonderful but better than using space for a casino. The included tours were not great but somewhat acceptable. Not a luxury cruise but totally fine. I'm not sure that if I paid full price that I would've given it such good reviews.

Typhoon Changes by whitelawcs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I’m impressed how well changes and accommodations could be made in Yokohama because of a typhoon, then later the itinerary changes because of the second typhoon. Celebrity shore excursions were expensive, and none for the “mild” activity rating. A nice alternative was the availability of free shuttles.

Egypt is a wonderful destination. Very safe and varied, superb service by the crew and Egyptologist and sights you don’t see anywhere else. You should go!

My worst cruise ever. by joseamondragon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Silver Shadow / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We disembarked 11 days earlier because of the bad quality of the food. Additionally the itinerary was changed eliminating three ports, two of which were highlights of the cruise: Incheon for Seoul and Osaka for Kyoto. After going through a Gale Storm and the Typhoon Trami, there was another typhoon heading towards the ships path. We had had enough very scary and uncomfortable days at sea rocking and rolling at the middle of the sea.

Not the best experience for non-chinese people by drladyj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The large majority of the non-Asain cruisers were extremely displeased with the rude behavior of the chinese cruisers (who were 90+% of the cruisers on the ship). The staff of the cruise explained that the behavior of the Chinese was due to their culture. The staff kept us 100% separated from the Chinese cruisers in the restaurants: the Chinese sat in the front and middle of the restaurants, non-chinese in the back. However, the staff were extremely nice.

Majestic Princess less than majestic by akterrey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

i do not believe Princess had adequately catered for 3500 Australian passengers. Specific beers, wines were frequently unavailable and inadequate seating in the Crown Grill bar. Frustratingly, one of the four elevators forward was out of action for the whole 22 day voyage, citing unable to get parts, despite stopping at sophisticated cities such as Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore. Numerous times elevators would bypass our deck, particularly when the Princess Theatre was being used.

Cruise of a life time... by lorenzo957

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Orion / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

This was the cruise of a life time for us and I would say the only downside would be the quality of internet available. When you are gone for an extended period of time you have to be able to pay bills at home and this was difficult due to lack of signal or it falling on its face just when you needed it the most. But that being said still better than when I actually paid for it!

Trip for China by johnnywilliams

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

This cruise is very catered to the Asian population. If your comfortable with that, then enjoy. The food, entertainment, ports of call can be a challenge with out excursions.

Very disappointed!!! by kuuleilovesdelane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I was very very disappointed with the service, staff, food, and people onboard... Service sucked, My stateroom host wasn’t consistent and I hardly ever seen her or got welcomed by her. The Man that was serving the ice cream cones had no gloves and we complained about that.

The Quantum of the Seas Ship is the largest ship I have ever cruised on. The state of the art theaters are outstanding. There are many venues to keep you busy and interested.

Timeless wonders by Searay360

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Nautica / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Very disappointed in the "refurbished"ship, again small cabins, televisions,no outlets. Service in restaurants not up to the price we paid for this cruise. Food was disappointing for a luxury cruise line.
