This cruise is very catered to the Asian population. If your comfortable with that, then enjoy. The food, entertainment, ports of call can be a challenge with out excursions.

Cruise will always be geared toward the dominant population it is catering too... in Asia, toward Asian passengers, in US toward US passengers, Australia to Aussie’s, Europe to Europeans...if it was all the same experience it would be boring. I also don’t think the simple comment that a ship is catered to a certain population is necessarily racist in any way.

Isnt it based in asia at the moment prior to a sydney summer then across to alaska for their summer? I travelled on her first asia cruise out of singapore in april this year and absolutely LOVED it. But then i love singapore chinese/malay culture. If you travel in asia.... Expect asians!! And immerse yourself in asian culture food and customs. 😁 Im travelling on her out of sydney next april and im expecting an entirely different feel. 👍

Ovation is mostly based out of Japan with some European cruises so this is no surprise nor a problem. Your not in Kansas.....

Unfortunately no cruise is listed,so the exact destinations could not be defined.resently on the Ovation, Sydney to Singapore,no problems at all,if you go on a cruise to China, Vietnam and the like,they inevitably will be geared to Asian visits,for example they shed the Majority of Bar Staff and replace with staff for the Casino,get a grip,your destination will be governed predominantly by cruiser from that area,happy Cruising xxxx

Oceanwaver. I don't think he is saying he has a problem with Asians. Just lamenting that they aren't catering to Americans. However, since this ship is based in Asia I would think that would be expected.

This is why I travel the world to see new cultures. What I did like was the bars on board were never busy as the Asian community do not drink alcohol like we do. They also retire to their beds early so ship was quite at night. No noisy neighbours
