Too many Children by kline5064

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Navigator of the Seas

I don’t blame royal Caribbean, but more myself watching for spring break but I also wonder why parents can’t keep an eye on their own children and let them run wild makes no sense to me. There was a very good parental control on some very nice children but the majority of it no let your kids run. Let them do as they please Not the best type of atmosphere. I would like to spend all my money out again.

Will never cruise on Norwegian again. by craig9670

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Royal Caribbean is a much better cruise line. I even rated Carnival better than this. Maybe it was just a bad week to be on this ship but even many of the employees were frustrated that they were on the ship way past their time they were supposed to be on here. Many were promised to get off on a certain week and due to shortages they could not go home when planned. After 9 months of working all day, every day, I could see this being terrible. Maybe my bad luck but many customers on board during conversations stated that this cruise was not very good. This has nothing to do with how I feel about , they are a great booking company and Becca has always done us right. This was just on Norwegian and on my part for wanting to try something different. Now I know lol. Stay with what you like.

Great Itinerary and Ports. Add-on Fees Annoying by eheiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

If you’re looking for a family friendly cruise, this is a good option. However, just know that going in that Norwegian still gets some of the folks you’d likely only seen on a carnival cruise. That was surprising to us. We purposely avoided carnival for that very reason. We will likely explore other cruise lines in the future, but we would not rule out booking with NCL again. Also, NCL has tons of fees and it will end up costing you quite a bit extra. Again, not necessarily a dealbreaker, but know that going in.

Cabo and Puerto Vallarta great ports by jwayda2002

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Bliss

Boat is nice but low ceilings . Did not have grand atrium ; speciality dining almost impossible to get reservations. Not enough music in evenings with all the spaces they have in boat. Piano bar is only thing available after 11pm and the bar is a horrible set up like someone’s basement . Dining room nice in back of the boat . Wait times vary for seating. Very long time to get on the ship (2hours ) , getting off the ship was super quick . Cruise director is rarely seen and doesn’t host anything Later in evening like marriage show. Band outside by pool is good. Only later night food is local bar which you have to wait in line and dine in . Not reasonable for people who just want a piece of pizza or snack. They do not have pizza there. This is only place to get food after 3 pm as well if you are coming back from shore. They should have a burger place or pizza place or Mexican place or sandwiches available as alternative for thousands of people coming back on boat at 3 pm when in port,

Great getaway. by gwniemi33947620

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice

Unlike other Mexican Riviera itineraries this included San Diego. A real plus! The ship's internet was terrible. Couldn't even connect long enough to use my 90 complimentary minutes.

Enjoyable cruise by marann17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice

It’s been awhile when we have a cruise , aside from that we got a good deal, the cruise was like a treat for us after working so hard for a couple of years. The cruise recharges us and gave us some soul searching that we appreciate living life more and appreciate what God gave us.

Casual family fun, perfect vacation! by Sammageddon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Panorama

My son is obsessed with cruise ships and wanted to sail on this one specifically, we had a great time! He's a teenager so he had the run of the ship exploring while I read by the pool, or we took in entertainment and shows together. The whole thing was very casual, which was definitely what he and I were both hoping for, but everything was also very clean, the staff were very polite, there was absolutely nothing negative about our experience. Came back relaxed and ready to hit the ground running!

Disappointment by carlcolen

Will be reluctant to sail celebrity again. It's not a fun festive Cruise line. And you can tell they are trying desperately to budget everything and it shows with both the food, crew and the passengers

Nice trip by kjmj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Miracle

This was our first cruise, and we most enjoyed the excursions at Cabo and Ensenada. It was a 5 day cruise and long enough to now know that we are not cut out for spending days at sea. By the 3rd day we were getting bored because the outside decks were closed due to high winds, and we both got very woozy from the rocking of the ship. It's just not our thing.

good trip by williamshomes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Miracle

Nice trip, two minor problems, ship board apps lets you book dining table, we got notified table was ready at 8:58am and when we walked up at 9:02, they said sorry the dining room closes at 9. Why notify to come to dining at 8:58 if closing at 9? The other was disembarkation, we were at front of ship go down get in line, after 40 minutes of slowly moving find out it is because we have to circle toward back of ship to go out the two lanes instead of one for front and one for back, they are both for coming from back

Truck stop frozen food, absolutely nothing to do on board, Ensenada was incredibly dirty, unsafe and boring. Overall bad experience, not fun at all. Will never sail with carnival again
