The Cruise Line needs to identify passengers in targeted age groups and try to get them toghether at the beginning of the cruise.

The room and bathroom was larger than other ships we had been on. There was a great deal of importance placed on hand hygiene. I really liked this!!

Overall it was very good cruise.

This was our first cruise and we had a wonderful time.

Ship was going into dry dock for repairs in two weeks. Would like to see her finsihed.

We had a wonderful time on the ship, the shows were nice, the drinks WAY overpriced but that is with all cruises. We were a bit put off with the $12 a day service fee added on at the end of the trip, I think that they should be honest and tell you up front, not when you get the bill!!! The room stewards kept the room very clean, and for a ship it was a large room, ocean view balcony. The food was good, but again, a added fee for the highest quality food of $15 to $25 a person depending on what you wanted to eat.

The ship was beautifully decorated - fresh flowers everywhere. The food was excellent. We only cruise Holland America now because we like their excellence in cruising but this cruise outdid them all. There was a lot of live good music in the evenings - a great variety from pop to strings to big band to the oldies. They have an excellent band that backs up all their big shows. The performers were above average. We were on the ship two weeks and the whole big show agenda was changed out to new performers for the second week. Everything was kept fresh all the time to the fruit and flowers in our cabin. Tendering went without a flaw - not easy for me to handle that. The Captain ran everything on time on this ship and it was truly ship-shape. His excellence was felt all the way through the ship and from all the crew.

This was an enjoyable cruise, our third cruise and our first with Princess. We found the entire crew to be helpful and very pleasant. The food was excellent, we didn't expect to love all the dishes offered, but we were always able to find food that we enjoyed. The entertainment was mostly very good, some were better than others and we enjoyed them all. We didn't expect to see gala Broadway productions as some other reviewers did. The biggest thing that hit us was the attitude of the entire staff!! We found the entire staff to be outstandingly cheerful, and helpful, as well as pleasant to talk with.

Hawaii is great but the over all ship experience was not. Room on the 4th floor was extremely loud with engine room noise, food was room temperature and flavorless, had to pay for all soda, but all the coffee you could drink for free. Very uncomfortable bed.

Overall, the ship was a floating palace! It was very elegant and well planned. The decor was tasteful as a whole although some of the furnishings need replacement.

the ship was great in every way

This was our 4th cruise, 1st on NCL. The ship was very easy to get around. Very basic, not too lavish. Had a family suite with a super large deck which was wonderful. Didn't realize that paying over $7000 didn't get you anything extra for a suite. Not even a fruit basket! Only advantange of the family suite was embarkation and the room space. Ship rolled and rocked way too much.

FOOD WAS OKAY. SHOWS WERE NOT THAT GOOD AND I HATED THE FACT THAT THEY HAD THE SAME SHOWS TWO DAYS IN A ROW ALL DURING THE CRUISE. SERVICE WAS GOOD BUT THE SHIP ITSLF WAS OLD AND OUT-DATED AND THE DAY TIME ACTIVITIES WERE VERY BORING AND POORLY PLANNED. THIS WAS NOT THE PRINCESS CRUISELINE I EXPECTED. I RATE THE CRUISE A 'B' AT BEST.

Ship very well maintained. Laid out nicely. We noticed the cutbacks right away. We are Captain Circle members but had no notice of CC events and NO free gifts that we have received on other ships. (totes, candy etc.) Also photo prices were EXORBITANT!

The Golden Princess was once a great ship however it is obvious the ship has deteriorated. I know the ship is soon going to dry dock for renovatrion but in my opinion customers like us and those after us did not get the benefit of newer ships with employees who were well trained for the best service to its customers.

The ship is small, clean, and well staffed. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Food is another story, uninspired, and tasteless, especially in the Aloha buffet. Food was rarely replenished, and except for the salad bar and the soft serve ice cream, uniformly bad. Ate at two specialty restaurants, the Lazy J Steakhouse, took over 2 hrs. to eat, with 45 minutes between order and delivery of salad ! Also ate at Little Italy, service was good, but food mediocre. When you spend considerable money for the cruise, you shouldn't have to spend extra for better food. Shore excursions were outrageously priced. Far better to use Roberts Tours less expensive, and just as good to the same locations. Public transportation on all the islands is excellent and inexpensive $!.00, and can take you most places you want to go, some of the islands even have free transport, so if you are somewhat independent and adventurous, by pass the ''organized tours'' and see the islands for yourself with the locals.

Rough crossing did not bode well for the cruise.....problems with a/c and electical power on a very hot day completed the downturn. Medical staff was not able to alleviate medical issues and made rather arbritary decision to have me taken off the ship mid-cruise.

I would recommend this only because of the ports of call, the excellent excursions but not the crew. The ship was beautiful and it's too bad the crew doesn't take much pride in it. It was dirty and the crew did nothing but the bare minimum.

The ship is new and just beautiful. the stateroom I had was clean, convenient and very tropical, fitting to the destination! Liked that there was no casino, instead there were specialty restaurants. Crew was very friendly. The spa was quite good, as was the gym.
