Took a Balcony Cabin on Deck 9 Midship. Tied looking cabin, wood work chipped and scuffed, bathroom tatty with paint peeling and bathroom closet doors marked and damaged. Not what you expect from a four star ship. Service in Diamond Lounge was good. Main Dining room food absolutely awful on first formal night so on second formal night we were moved to either side of dining room. Service there was excellent but food awful once again. All other nights we ate in speciality restaurant in order to get good quality food but begrudge having to pay for this just to escape the main dining room. As a Diamond Member we have given RCL our Loyalty but we are seeing very little loyalty coming back. The price of drinks along with the 18% gratuity charge is extortionate outside of Diamond Lounge hours and having 3 drinks vouchers to be used anywhere is pointless when RCL are resting this the Diamond Lounge hours only. Loyalty should allow the 3 vouchers to be used at any time of the day. Come on RCL up your game or loose your loyalty members.

Mediterranean Bliss by Phaellynn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Definitely enjoyed it. The long stops in port make it easy to do your own thing. We never felt rushed or like we were cutting it close getting back to the boat.

Loved everything about my first time cruise with my 2 friends...the cleanliness, food, entertainment, friendliness of staff, the smooth running of this ship was outstanding..right down to being able to go on a channel on our tv to find out how to arrange for our cases to be left out and picked up on our last day...highly recommended....Symphony of the Seas...

Worse ship we’ve ever been on by mandydownes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seaview / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Although the ship was lovely storage in the cabins is very limited. Food both in the buffet and restaurants was very limited for vegetarians almost no choice at all. Entertainment was dreadful half hour show which was actually probably only about twenty by the time the cruise director finished introducing it. Our cabin was always clean but never saw anyone cleaning other parts of the ships such as the stairs. Hand sanitizers were provided but rarely saw other passengers using them or any staff enforcing it. My wife felt unwell on the Saturday and has been unwell since due to a bug she has caught on the ship. Wouldn’t travel with them again

Amazing Caribbean Cruise by Tourneo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

We were a group of 5 and we all had an amazing trip. Royal Caribbean is first class and amazing how they are very well organised to cater for 3000 over guests. I will definitely cruise again....

Great holiday! The itineraray was great; however, the day trips were long because of the distance from the ports.

Game changer! by purununa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

This cruise was a belated honeymoon for my husband and me (late 30s and late 40s) and it was a game changer. We have cruised 5 times before, 4 of those in RC older ships. The Symphony is in another category. Everything looks and feels high end, fun and carefully planned. Even though our sailing was jammed packed, we can honestly say that it never felt like more than 8,000 people were on that ship at the same time. Embarkation was at the most 15 minutes, and self-debarkation not even that. Our balcony stateroom was perfect, much larger than in older RC ships, and even though it was right by the elevators, no noise came in. This sailing had an exhausting 6 port days, so we for the first time ever we could not explore the whole ship, but we sure tried! We always found a table quickly at the Windjammer, and the food was plentiful and good. I did miss the omelet station, that was not set up daily. El Loco Fresh was a great fast lunch, and Park Cafe served great little sandwiches. We took some sandwich bags with us from home and those made a great snack midmorning on several ports. The Main Dining room was great every day. The crab cakes were a particular highlight. The new My Time Dining means that you don't get the same tables every day, but you can request a specific table or section. We did this because we loved our servers, Juan and Eduard from table 469. Late at night, Sorrento's pizza was a must, as well as the little deserts on Cafe Promenade. We only did one specialty restaurant, Wonderland, and it was very good, but not what I expected. More fusion and less molecular. The shows were extremely good, especially Hairspray and the comedy ones. 1967 was entertaining because of the skating and music, but the plot was meh. We took 3 shore excursions: Pisa and Florence on your own with a GPS device (the devices were never given to us but they were not necessary, and we got a credit for those); Imperial Rome (really cool); and Capri, Sorrento, and Pompeii. This one we don't recommend to anyone. To start you spend most of the time going from one place to another and not nearly enough time at the destinations: from the ship to Capri, one hour on a jetfoil and then at the most 40 minutes in Capri. From there to Sorrento, half an hour, where we spend half an hour having a bite to eat (literally, two lightly filled canelonnis followed but ONE small potato and a sliver of dry chicken), and 20 minutes in the city. And from there one hour on a bus to Pompeii, where we wasted 20 minutes on a cameo factory "tour" that no one asked for but was clearly meant to gather sale commissions for our tour guides, one hour in Pompeii and 35 minutes to get back to the bus. We should just have done Capri, or just Sorrento and Pompeii. The best part of the cruise was the staff. Every single person that we talked to had a smile on their face and worked hard to accommodate us. We will definitely try to cruise on the Symphony again, being more selective with the shore excurtions!

Amazing Symphony of the Seas! by JeannieFrank

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

We had a very memorable trip! Enjoyed our time with a large group of family and friends. The cruise was perfect for us as it allowed everyone to pick and choose their activities, and then let us all meet at the end of the day for dinner. The itinerary is very busy, so must be organized if you wish to enjoy all the ports of call. Although expensive, the transportation from port each day arranged by RCL was very convenient.

Wonderful will definitely go on again. by browno

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Symphony of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Last day was windy so top deck was closed. People putting towels on Sunbeds and not returning for ages when lots of others looking for beds. Kids jumping in the jacuzzi was very annoying, parents weren't bothered. People not washing hand when entering the wind jammer. Other than that it was awesome.

Amazing Mediterranean Cruise by Thornettsatsea

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

What a holiday of a lifetime - the ship FAR outweighed my expectations and it looks amazing for 15 years old. Every single member of staff is falling over themselves to make your holiday better / smoother / quicker / easier. The facilities on the ship were fantastic and everything was spotless. the cabin was a brilliant size for us (family of 5) and the places we visited were amazing - I thought the itinerary was spot on. Thank you Royal Caribbean for an experience we shall never forget.
