Worst  cruise I have even been to  ,employees have no manners ,they treat you as though you are in a ration line or a homeless shelter waiting to get some food. Not even  a greeting .you ask for something and they totally ignore you.,they remove the food before the  time  ,this is my third cruise and never exprience any like this

Brilliant ship by Cruiser84933128

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

We really enjoyed this cruise. The ports of call were delightful. The food and entertainment on the ship was first class.  Plenty of space by the pool for the times we just wanted to be lazy

AWESOME VACATION by monanoble6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa Diadema / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

FABULOUS! FABULOUS! FABULOUS! I celebrated my 50th birthday (along with 5 of my friends) and it was nothing short of spectacular. Our waiter, Deekshith Shetty went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that each of us was happy and satisfied with our dining experiences. The crew sang happy birthday to me and gave me hugs and kisses (not done in America). Our cabin was cleaned to perfection, crew members knew me by name, the shows were great and the coffee was PHENOMENAL! The ship was beautiful and the staff was very polite. I have already started recommending this cruise to other friends. LOVED IT! Thanks Costa.

The stay with NCL onboard the EPIC was excellent, our cabin was within the Haven. by Cruiser94

This was our second time sailing with NCL and the first time sailing the Mediterranean.  We booked our cabin within the Haven and could not be happier that we did.  The only way to cruise.Big Smile

Much more expected from a cruise! by MarkyMarc23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Orchestra / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was the first time I had been on a MSC cruise so I did not know what to expect.  It was disappointing at best.  Other than our wait staff at the dinner setting and one bartender, the customer service on board was terrible.  The head dinner waiter was rude and unable to provide any solutions to a later seating one night.  The cruise staff is programmed to get as much money out of it's customers so there were constant sales pitches for dinners and drink packages.  MSC "nickled and dimed" the whole cruise.  Things that would be standard or free were charged on board.  On room service, we received the wrong meal and were charged for it.  When some of the staff was off, we were traveling with them on a bus to get back on board and they were bad-mouthing American passengers loud enough for the whole bus to hear.  Then they put on their MSC uniforms and worked for the people they were bad-mouthing moments before!  The food quality was very poor.  Most of the food was salty or mushy or not prepared very well.  The wine and drink quality was par at best.  The excursions were all expensive and when buying a wine package they included hidden fees.  And this cruise was for families, not singles or couples.  Kids were everywhere and a lot of them not behaving very well.  I think MSC allows kids to cruise for free.  The noise level definitely rose. Really all we used MSC for was the transportation around the various ports.   I will not use MSC for any travel plans in the future.  I have my favorites that I will stick to!!SadAngry

Greatest 14 days ever by airjordan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Royal Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

It's hard to imagine what could be improved. The days went too fast. School was still in session so there were not too many children. The only negative is that there was too much to see in every stop. More time in every port would be great but that would have cut the number of ports. We'll need to do it again!

wells first cruise by Cruiser22928447

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Spirit / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We had lots of favourite parts - food, entertainment, staff, cleanliness, destinations, facilities, swimming pools, outdoor seating etc. etc. What we did not like was paying exhorbitant prices for drinks  of any kind  and having to pay $18 per person perday for gratuities.  The only other complaint we have is that we were unable to dock in Venice at 2.00 pm as Norwegian Jade was in our berth, especially as Venice was one of our main destinations but as we got in so late we did not get to see Venice at all.  I would still recommend this cruise as on the whole it was good value for money. only other criticism would be lack of help finding coaches for trips not booked with Norwegian!!!!!

Fabulous, but ... by patswife2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was an amazing cruise with a top rate staff. The only real problem was communication. We frequently received contradictory information or no information. Most of the time this was not an issue, however it is ridiculous when the itinerary changed the day before the second half of this cruise and passengers did not get notified until day 2 of that leg, it is an extreme problem. There were also problems with Freestyle Daily. Quite frankly, NCL and all lines would benefit by having passengers proofread all their communications. Often times the problems with communication is a matter of being written by people who live aboard. Simple example, there are no directions for which copy of the triplicate form passengers should keep, and no indication if form goes in the bag or is attached outside. Also, this business of letting thousands of people off the ship, in foreign ports, without at least a simple port map, is irresponsible.

Last, but far from least, when you advertise a port for a specific city, it is wrong to charge passengers for bus transfers to that city!

Me and my husband loved the cruise. The food and service was amazing.  The biggest complain we have is your internet service. We are both professionals and rely on communicate to our companies. Considering most companies rely on internet, there needs to be major improvement to your internet for us to consider another cruise. Most people our age are at the pinnacle of the careers need this service to travel. Everything was wonderful.

First Timers by Cruiser9148136

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

As this was our first cruise we were, naturally, apprehensive, especially as my wife needed assistance at airports etc. because she needs to use two sticks to help her walk. We need not have worried because Monarch airlines looked after  her all the way to Venice and the crew on board the ship gave her preferential access when queuing anywhere. The nicest experience we had was in the buffet restaurant when a waiter, Norman, noticed my wife struggled to get her food, took over and led her around the buffet tables filling her plate with her choices and then took her back to the table. He did this for all meal times during the week and my wife was really appreciative!

For both of us the whole week was both memorable and exciting.

I would also like to thank Cruise 118 for looking after us with excursions and info. the whole experience for us from start to finish was first class, thank you.

Great family vacation by jeniferduncan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

We had a blast and created memories for a lifetime!  Can't wait to go back:)  We had two mini-suites with an adjoining balcony for a party of 6.  Plenty of room and fun for all.  This was truly a once in a lifetime event with 3 generations.  Very busy week running from one location to another in an attempt to see and experience as much as possible in the short time in each port.

greek isle sojourn by Cruiser948

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Vision of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were very pleased with our Royal Caribbean cruise to Kotor, Montenegro, Athens, and three Greek islands. Our ship, Vision of the Seas (capacity about 2750) is about the right size for us. Food service was excellent. We ate in the dining room every evening. Staff was well organized to handle such tasks as tendering, shore excursions, embarking and leaving the ship. Wife pleased with cleanliness of ship. Entertainment a bit slack - they even had the captain singing rock songs in place of paid entertainer! Still, it is a highly-recommended adventure.

We just returned from a 10 night cruise aboard the Celebrity Reflection - great ship! It was lovely - also great balcony stateroom with large bathroom! The staff was excellent and the food superb! We only regret not having more time on the ship as we were busy touring!

Excellent food and service by reneelau963

We love the food variety, quality & freshness.  Our waitress Silvana and assistant Israel were both smiley, humorous.  Our stateroom attendant Maricar were doing wonderful job, she spared no time to clean up the broken glass.  Thank you.

Just So-So by drfvt70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Epic / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Overall the cruise was okay, but not spectacular.  Food offerings in main dining rooms was mediocre and lacked variety.  We will note, however, that the service was great and for the most part the wait staff was congenial and attentive. Our experience with Sasha, manager in the Manhattan Dining Room, was especially accommodating.

With the exception of the piano bar and Poalo, the guitarist, the entertainment was extremely disappointing.  It lacked variety and was often distasteful and offensive.  Wise up Norwegian.  Think about more family oriented fare.

Thanks to our very competent and friendly cabin steward our room was always clean, suitable for sleeping and showering.  The cabin was adequate but not a place to spend much time.  That is understandable, but we would have preferred more areas on board for quite time and simply enjoying the ocean views.

For those relying on wifi, forget it!  Ours was included as a "feebie" and was never fully functional.  Had we paid for this service, we would have demanded a refund.  If one has other choices, don't go for the wifi.

We shared our cruise with a very large contingent of passengers from a large cosmetics company (about 3000 of the 4100 guest capacity on board were members of this group).  We believe this contributed to extreme overcrowding at the buffet dining and we often found ourselves being trapped in large groups of these passengers self-involved in their own pursuits and allowing little common courtesy to other guests.

We would probably not sail on a ship of this size in the future.

Transatlantic Venice Cruise by Cruiser844

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

We took 16 night transatlantic cruise aboard the NCL Jade with stops at St Thomas and Funchal, Maderia and ended in Barcelona.  We remained aboard for 5 night cruise to Venice with stops at Palma Majorca and Valleta, Malta.  We have taken over 30 cruises and this cruise was truly enjoyable with plenty of sea time to relax and yet had great destination stops to sightsee.  We especially enjoyed the Tobbagan ride in Funchal.
