Europe - Mediterranean Cruise Reviews

Generally satisfactory except for an unpleasant experience with house keeping which my husband will report separately. We didn't pursue the matter while still on the cruise because we didn't want the rest of our trip to be further tainted by the negative experience.

Nice ship, dated on board activities and attractions.

It was an excellent cruise I enjoyed a lot. Holland America always comes true.

Will not sale with Princess again. Liked itinerary.

Once in a life time trip. I highly recommend to go at least once!

Very disappointing. The food was mediocre at best. Food at main dining always tasted as though it was cooked hours ago and kept under a warming lamp. Portions were extremely small and the shrimp cocktail was a joke (baby shrimp)and no lobster night had to pay for it if we wanted it. The price changed from day to day from $16 to $24 did it cost different taking it out of the freezer?

Holland America truly did a wonderful job. This was a dream come true for me.

That back to back 18 day cruise was our best vacation ever. We are going to make this fall back to back cruise an annual tradition for us in the Mediterranean. We loved everything especially the Haven and the people….so many. And we stay in touch with them too!

The whole trip was wonderful. The ship's food, service staff and support staff were all excellent. The only complaint I would have about the trip had nothing to do with the ship and its staff. We encountered extreme crowds at the most popular tourist locations on our itinerary and thus the long lines and waiting times at these locations had an impact on our overall enjoyment. One other issue would be a little dissatisfaction with the contract performers brought on the ship for one or two nights of shows in the Princess theatre.

Fun adventures in Europe. Explored some new places. Enjoyed a fabulous new ship. Made some great memories.

Great cruise, ship and ports. Looking at booking 2 more cruises asap.

The cruise itself was great. The staff was helpful. Ship, food and accommodations were great. HOWEVER, given that this was a European cruise it involved Air2Sea transfers arranged by Royal Caribbean International. Getting there was great, direct flight from Atlanta. The return home was horrific. We were sent to Chicago. We literally spent 24 hours in transit and because our final flight was now domestic our luggage ended up on the domestic side of the airport but our car was parked on the international side. We were completely exhausted. It really left a poor impression of the entire cruise experience. We would think twice about taking Royal Caribbean again after that disrespectful experience.

There were some issues that could be improved upon

Great cruise with beautiful ports! The excursions offered through the cruise line give you plenty of opportunities to see the highlights of each port. Although the sights and views of Santorini and Mykanos were beautiful I found that Turkey was surprisingly my favorite. Visited Mary's House while there and it is a must!

The ship was nice, the staff was exceptional. The food was so so. The Brazilian steak house was awful, the Italian place was very good.

The itinerary was amazing. The food and entertainment was not for us. The ship needs to be updated and onboarding activities a little more inclusive towards under 50.

This is a very nice cruise. However there is only one sea day. If you do the tours at each port like we did it can be grueling for the faint of heart. There is a lot to see for a first timer to Europe.

Enjoyable but missed seeing Amalfi and Capri. Only 480 passengers onboard which surprised me but maybe because of the fowl up in the website. I think Azamara is losing customers because of it. Was nice that the ship wasn’t crowded and we could upgrade to a nicer cabin. This is our second Azamara cruise. Nice if you like smaller ships but I prefer larger because there are more options.

Royal Caribean needs to let people know of the change in port, 3 hours from Venice.
