Would never book on this cruise line again. by elizabethpayton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I have been on numerous cruises and would never even consider going on an MSC cruise again. This was suppose to be the trip of a life time, fly 1st class, get a suite and be pampered and see Greece and Croatia but instead terrible food quality, lack of variety, no real entertainment, tiny Casino, ok suite, horrible organization. The only positive besides getting off the boat in port was the staff in the restaurant, casino, bars and stateroom.

Worst Cruise Ever by PStroud

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I have been an numerous cruises and even small boats like this one and this was the most disappointing. The food was horrible and small portions. The buffet was worse, only decent thing were the French fries and pizza was minimal. There was little to no selection and it was the same stuff everyday. We actually started brining food on board from the ports so we didn't have to go to dinner. Getting off the boat was a scary situation, no direction and when people started cutting in line fights almost broke out. We had a suite because we wanted this to be a first class trip, they don't give you anything in the suite, no fruit, drink not even a towel animal. We could have saved a lot by just booking a regular cabin. We were suppose to have priority embarkation and disembarkation and got neither. I will never use AA to book a cruise since they are the ones who suggested it and I will never go on another MSC Cruise again.

Most Unsafe and chaotic cruise so far by cesarrtz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Musica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This MSC Musica cruise was just a chaotic cruise. You even fear for your own live at some points during the offshore excursions. No life vest, no paved roads, rough seas that were not mentioned about, and a culture of disorganization that blinded any positive experience. Unplanned, late every day including the departure day, and last minute changes were always the tendency in this ship. Not worth the money.

Was not impressed! by jabrower21

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

I usually take Disney Cruises and I guess I've become a snob. I would never take a Norwegian Cruise again.

Wonderful Cozy Ship by dee43981252

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was one of the best cruises we have taken. Ship is a little old and small but our wait times were short and it felt like we were a large family. Each port was beautiful in its own unique way.

Great Itinerary by Rita32168

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

I was pleased with the cruise itinerary except the last port. It is relaxing and fun. I appreciate all staff work long hours to make the journey wonderful. I plan to cruise with MSC again in 2021 since I already booked all my trips for 2020.

Not as good as expected by EdFLondon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Azamara Pursuit / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

All the pluses first Number of people in front of me at check-in at 11am: ZERO Boarding group number 4, and it looked like there were about 10 people (max) in each boarding group Had to wait for the Patio (and buffet) to open at noon. "Suffered" by lounging on the plush pool chairs. I really liked the Patio. Ate there twice. The cabin: Wonderful The sheets And those large plush pillows Plus, the mattress topper was so good that I could not feel the split between the two beds Also noticed that the curtains and drapes were much nicer, heavier than others. That quality feel The negative: the bathroom: smallest I’ve ever had and not the greatest water pressure in the sink or the shower Big towels, tho , almost too big, if that’s possible And those little sweets every night on the dish. Nice touch. The coffee table didn't match the decor and is in the way. Moved it Not a glaring colour in sight anywhere: no turquoise, no red battling with orange. The Den and The Living Room are amazing spaces, so was the Cabaret Discoveries: the food was amazing - both breakfast and dinner as an example: Sunday night dinner: over-baked salmon. Delicious (not a word I use often) and, when I lifted the salmon off the asparagus and potato under-parts, there were the two asparagus, perfectly crossed in an X, and I mean perfectly placed. Waiting: for anything: negligible…. Zero checking in, zipped through boarding, I think there were a max of three couples ahead of me getting into dinner. And especially disembarking: where I am used to long, long queues in large, large groups: nada. Walk off when I wanted Which leads me to the negatives: No served breakfast on the last day. That was a surprise. On NCL and on Celebrity, there is a full-service breakfast on the last day (as well as the buffet). I was really surprised that, on the last day, in Discoveries, it was a buffet. Granted, a nice enough one, including the carved ham station, but, still, buffet. Not the best in meeting my expectation. Also, surprised that there was no served lunch on embarkation day. Again, on all the other cruises I’ve been on, except Pullmantur, the MDR has been open for embarkation lunch. I did go to the buffet once: on the first day, for chocolate dessert which I took back to The Patio. It really was as much as a scrum as any other line – tho in a smaller space. Service: this is where Azamara did not meet my expectations. At that price, I expected near-flawless service. Three (negative) examples: I ate at the Patio on embarkation day. That went fine. I ordered chicken wings, then cold soup, then a burger. Came one at a time. But when I ate there on Saturday, I ordered chicken wings and a salmon burger and the wings and the burger arrived at the same time. Not a good move. It meant one wasn't was warm as it should've been by the time I got to it. Dinner on Sunday: the waiter plopped down a Caesar salad that belonged two tables to my left. And then gave me French onion soup when I had ordered clam chowder. The guy next to me ordered a steak medium rare, and it wasn’t. His wife was a bit disappointed too, and they’re frequent Azamara people. Twice, my sparkling water glass got topped up with still water. Granted, they were constantly asking to refill the wine, but they usually asked if I wanted more water AS they were pouring it in They were also not the most pleasant and engaging service staff in The Patio. Almost surly. Would I cruise AZ again: yes, with a couple of conditions -- it would need to be a more special itinerary and I would not pay a premium of more than a few hundred dollars

Stunning, Mediterranean Cruise.... by robinsongene

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Think I pretty much summed it up. While not everything was perfect, we had a super fabulous time, and we enjoyed the cruise a great deal. We are talking about repeating again in a year. Going in the beginning of summer before the crazy summer tourist season or 2nd/3rd week of September would be ideal for this cruise. I highly recommend it. I prefer the "Mediterranean" based cruise company vs Royal/Princess/Ncl, just due to the nationalities on board. There was not an over abundance of Americans on board....but we did meet some lovely people from Australia, the UK, and Ireland....We really enjoyed the multi-cultural crew. Just put in to them, what you want to be treated like and they take care of you like gold. I don't think you'll find a better itinerary to visit so many amazing cities.

VERY LOW QUALITY SHIP but good itinerary by jeffreyatwan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Norwegian Star / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Very weak cruise overall. The outside performers they brought on were good (Karl Loxley and "White Magic") but the onboard singers and dancers were like watching a weak high school production. The food was the worst I've ever had on a cruise and the stateroom attendant was not helpful. The worst was having to wait in line for 30 minutes each night to get a table for dinner. This freestyle dining option is terrible.

We flew into Rome for a few days, then Florence for a few days, Venice for 1 night, then boarded Cruise ship.....was ready for our cruise excursions and relaxation. Loved the Celebrity App, used it a lot for planning our days, loved Marco at Canyon Ranch! Also won a free message from Marta, she was awesome. Also had a great massage from Pat. They are trained well...very professional staff and caring. Let you know what offers there were but never “pushy”
