Extremely upset by JohnS49

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Caribbean Princess / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

While I was booked on Princess for Greece this coming Fall they canceled my booking without notification and did not help me rebook. Not the way to treat a returning customer

Amazing trip by GuilhermeK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Great ship, brand new, smartly developed with a lot of comfort, several entertainment options. Staff really friendly, and perfect itinerary. The best cruise Ive ever been to. Only cons: they force you a lot into buying things and shopping, should give more emphasis on historical aspects of places you visit

Miserable Service Cruise by AlexG

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Orchestra / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

To start the cabins although nicely keep, were by far smaller than any of all the other cruises we have taken. The price of the cruise seems reasonable until you realize that once inside you have to pay for a lot of extras. Obviously the water, There is no water anywhere in the ship after they close the buffets so you have to buy it. Breakfast buffet is from 6:30am to 10:00am and Lunch from 12:00 am to 15:30pm, after this the buffet is close until the morning. The only way to have dinner is to eat at the restaurants, seating divided into two, the early at 18:30, and the later at 21:00. If this is not to your liking you must go to one of the four of the paid restaurants some with two of them casual seating the other two by reservation only. So if your excursion finish late or you want to sleep early you would have to pay for dinner. Then there is the tour desk, totally incompetent when we got ready to book our excursions we approach the desk and express to the clerk that we wanted to go to Portofino, to which she answer sure fill out the form. As soon as we completed the form and turn them into the clerk she immediately responded that it was all booked. I asked her if they have it in a different language but the answer was no. I asked if she could write my name in case somebody would cancel, she answer that people dont usually cancel. They never bother to write my name or try to see if there was a way around this or if they could book with another company nor even the chance of speaking with the supervisor. Their answer was no and there was no turning back. As far as booking goes they have to call us back twice because of the same thing apparently they over book the Spanish excursion and the only way to go was in the English excursion(lucky for us that we are fluent on both) if not it would have been the same as the Portofino incident. My question is this How Long Has MSC being in the cruise Business that they can not allow people to book on the same Internet that we book our Cruises, therefore eliminating the need for their customers to have to deal with this angry tour desk personnel.

Venice/Greece Dream Cruise by IvanU

Sail date: /
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was great and new. The entertainment and ffod flavor and quality was one of our worst experinces in cruises. The "smoking everywhere" was horrible, we could not get away from it...we don't smoke.

Excellent Cruise by RutujaP

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We were were happy with our ship however we didnot get the $50 credit to use on ship per room which was promised to us by price line. We wasted 2 hours with the guest relations on the ship but were informed that price line confirmed the offer but forgot to inform cruise line and as its weekend so we should expect credit on our credit card after 15 days. We were also not able to book 2 night free hotels as promised. ( in short don't book by offers, book it only if you are sure)

Enjoyable Cruise by LindaJ10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Sinfonia / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

While the ship and staff were excellent, none of us speak Italian, so we felt we were at a little bit of a disadvantage. We found some of the other passengers to be quite rude and pushy. But overall, we enjoyed the cruise very much.

Overall great cruise by VincentW1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall great cruise. Mid-size right size ship not too big or too small. Restaurant sit down dinner was excellent, East med stops in Croatia, Turkey and Greek isles - exciting. Great buffet lunch in the dining room with jumbo shrimps and premium Italian cold cuts. People friendly and service is good. Worst is the breakfast - same old breakfast for 7 straight days and that awful powdered scambled eggs. After dinner shows were only average. Limited evening events except the bars. Only one midnight buffet on the poolside, great Spanish paella and BBQ lunch poolside. Over all great value for the $800 pp we've paid with outside cabin. --Vincent

BEST VACATION EVER! by JessicaH10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa neoRomantica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Several of us girls cruised on Costa's Romantica. The ship was beautiful and very clean and tidy. All of the staff was very pleasant and friendly. The state room was very comfortable with a constantly changing gorgeous view from our porthole window. My room was cleaned twice a day and my cabin steward became familar with how I liked things in my room. The food on the ship was superb and the servers became friends and knew exactly what I liked to eat and drink. The activities were great and there was always something to do. It was the best vacation that I have ever had!

our 40th anniversary celebration by UweN

We liked the people and the service they tried to give us. Their English was limited, as well as most of the guests, but with a smile we were able to communicate well.

Great cruise by SteveM3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Solstice / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Solstice is a beautiful ship with wonderful food and amenities. Since the ship is new, the staff seemed to be working out details of providing improved service, especially our cabin attendant who did not provide us good service. There were not enough wine/drink hostess at dinner - we were fortunate to have one drink or get a bottle of wine but otherwise service, menu, dinner options were excellent. The shore excursion assignments in the theatre were chaotic - suggest assigning group #s in advance. While there are many positives such as the exercise area, shops, cabins, shows etc, it annoyed me that guests had to pay for pop - suggest charging more in advance rather than nickle and diming passengers. Definitely a wonderful ship with nice cabins.

Cruise Awesome, <img class='agent-replacement' src='/images/hideagent.png'> service BAD by MargueriteD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Splendour of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was interesting - reminded me of Las Vegas. The room was a decent size, comfortable and clean. The staff was frinedly. The food was all right, not as good as I had hoped. Lots of entertainment, seemed to be targeting Baby Boomers.

Mixed Review by CarolK8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Musica / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Their newsletter said there were classes in the fitness center at certain times. We went, along with about 20 others, and were waiting for the class. No one came in to lead it. When asked at the desk (where they could see all of us in the room) they simply said they weren't having classes this week - despite it being in the newsletter and continuing to be in the newsletter daily. And they never even came in to tell us - we had to go out to ask! Very disappointing for Americans not to be able to get coffee and tea with lunch and dinner. ALso to have to buy water for those meals when a pitcher of water should have been available to us - they only had water, coffee and tea at breakfast and afternoon tes on some days. Didn't use lounges or bars except the evening we went ot the "chocolate bar " and ordered . They took our room card and after 10 minutes, when asked where order was they said it was coming. After 20 minutes, when asked again, they decided they didn't have the items! THe maps given out for the ports were such bad copies that you couldn't even read the street names, when they were even on the map and they had no markings as to where we would be docked on the maps to refer to. One time they charged for the map because it was printed on MSC paper. They also charged to shuttle into town and then didn't check for tickets, so those who didn't buy tickets got on without tickets while others paid 8 Euros ($12) for them! Their attention to detail is inconsistent. Some rooms got robes. Others didn't. Some times you got washcloths, other times not. Some rooms had towels rolled intoanimal shapes on turn down, others did not. Shows were all pretty much repetitious with different costumes, although quality of some entertainers was quite good.

This was an OK cruise by AT485

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Brilliance of the Seas, was a nice ship itself. The pool's are was very nice and restfull. The Windjammer was great for eating at, as you could be more relaxed and plenty of food, and the different stations made it easier to get food. Was not impressed with the entertainment that was offered. It did have a varitiy, but they were not impressive. The wait staff and stateroom employees were always nice and helpful, and smilled and said hello to us. Not impressed with the Guest Service area. They gave coflecting information, and were not helpfull when we wanted to go on Port of Calls, without one of the tours. We did have some weather problems and the Captain was wonderful, but again the Guest Service fell down on the job from day one, when we were to board in evening instead of the early afternoon. No one was around to help.

A wonderful NCL mediterraneon cruise by MiraA

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

After a previous cruise with NCL Dream in 2007 Dec , when we encountered a clash with another liner and a narrow escape, 2009 NCL Jade was relaxing and wonderful. The staff was courteous and the amenities were great.
