The ship was fantastic and it was very easy to find things. Very nice and spacious.

Pros: The professional/courteous/friendly staff

Cons: The food

Recommends Norwegian Gem? Yes!

Food and Dining
There were only a couple of restaurants that I would recommend, the Orchid Garden (oriental) and the Grand Pacific. Both of these charged a cover but the flavors were excellent. The buffet and even some of the other cover charge restaurants (Cagney's Steak House and the mexican food place) were bland. The 5 ounce fillet at Cagney's should have been presented MUCH better.
The adult programs (that indicated 18 years and older) seemed to not enforce that "18 years and older" requirement. We went to a comedy act that required adults only to find children seated in the front row. There didn't seem to be anywhere that the adults could go without children.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabin was SO comfortable. The bed was very cozy and the bathroom was quite functional. The space was well thought out and efficient. It was a very nice room.
Service and Staff
The staff was kind, courteous, professional, and friendly. They almost always asked how we were doing and said "have a nice time!" - they were the best!
