Royal Caribbean Nickles and Dimes You for Everything by miratemkin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

I sailed on RCCL in 2022 and there were many other included dining options that were not available on this ship. On Mariner, there was only the Windjammer, Main Dining Room and pizza place. All of the other restaurants necessitated an upcharge. Way to go, RCCL. They also just increased the amount of tips for the staff. While they charge you ahead of time, you can reduce that amount and they will give credit your account. I also removed the daily tips for the kids. Not necessary.

Wonderful way to escape the work at home and at my business. I definitely encourage all sailors to NOT get the Internet package, shut off the phone, and have fun. This isn't flying; so, make sure you can be flexible. Your schedule isn't guaranteed. by magoodness

Highly encourage folks to go cruising, relax, and get away from phone, texts, emails, work. Fall in love again with your spouse.

Relaxing and Fun! by sjchilds

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze

Despite the few and small “problems”, I enjoyed this vacation. Overall, crew are friendly and kind, and the ship is a great “medium” size to enjoy without being overwelhemed by size or the number of passengers.

Hurricane Milton Cruise by samenglert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

We were in great hands and felt safe during the changing circumstances of a possible cat 5 hurricane. Changes were made and the Captain kept us updated regarding destinations and sailing plans as the storm progressed.

Hurricane Milton just extended the party! by wiscan62

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Paradise

Overall had a great time but felt sorry for those who were seasick - there were a lot of them upon our return. The crew made us feel safe and left us with the impression they were working to make sure we knew that was the case, and they managed to keep us well entertained (Amber, Chacho and Robb - should do a comedy special!). Downside was lack of rule enforcement, particularly on the dining room and PLEASE stop allowing smoking in the casino - someone is sure to sue and win over getting lung diseases from working there! I never understood why our 32 year old daughter - who did her own booking with her friend - ended up on our dining roster (the app said she had assigned dining but not in our restaurant apparently) - but not her friend and we could not book a dinner together. We were able to do this with friends on a previous Carnival cruise.

Great Cruise Despite Hurricane Milton! by jbchitwood

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Harmony of the Seas

Royal Caribbean did a great job during Hurricane Milton and we all made the best of it! Royal gave us back our port fees for the two (2) ports we did not make and one day' back based on what we paid for the cruise per person which they certainly did not have to do in accordance with the cruise contract. It was not Royal's fault there was a huge hurricane out there in hurricane season, but they made everything right! Could not have been more proud of the crew and the Captain on The Harmony of the Seas!

Pleasant detour by nlmkaty

Ship: Harmony of the Seas

Because of the hurricane, lots of reports of call were canceled. Royal caribbean handle this the best they could. Reimbursing usOne day's cruise was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. The captain's decision to move us away from choppy waters was excellent. Our trust in royal caribbean is at an all time high.

Wonderful Cruise with an extra day due toHurricane Milton by Cruiser77043433

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Adventure of the Seas

Allyson is so easy to work with! I let her know where we’d like to go and when and she works her magic to make it happen! I love that if I have any questions, she’s just one message away! When our itinerary changed due to Hurricane Milton, she was available to me while we were cruising to answer questions and offer suggestions about our new port of call! She’s already working on our next cruise…and I have another one in mind as well!

Skip this ship. Save your money. by Ipearly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Mariner of the Seas

Overall not impressed with this ship. It needs a lot of maintenance. The staff needs to trained properly. Will not sail this ship again. You can tell the staff was tired but they didn’t need to take it out on guests. If you don’t believe look in the MDR at the dinning chairs. They need to be replaced. This ship needs more entertainment. More ice shows. I will Say the staff in the Windjammer were amazing. They were on top of everything.

Ok cruise by eliaskt03

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Jubilee

Carnival needs to change their menu or hired new head chef, we pay way too much money for midioker foods. More option on breakfast for the people who doesn't eat pork. Add turkey bacon or sausage. If. You want to eat a descent meal you either have to pay $40 per head or go to one of the specialty restaurants. Not fair and than you expected us to pay another $112 for gratuity for bad foods. I don't feel like I should be the one paying your employer tips, you should pay them better with the minimum wages instead of hiring them to an agency where the agency pockets 3 third of they're paid and force the travelers to leave tips

Amazing Ship & Trip! by roshanelyse

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Independence of the Seas

This was the first time we went on a cruise and we will definitely go again. The ship was spectacular and the staff... there are no words to describe how kind, helpful, and skilled they are. I kept thinking there was a catch, lol. LOVED the main dining staff and our cabin steward. We also had a great couple's massage and I got my toes painted. Honestly the best pedicure I ever got. The food and venues and all of the activities were wonderful, although the virtual reality activity was gone and we were bummed about that. We talked to 3 other couples who said it was their third time booking this ship because they love it so much. We can see why!
