Overall, Celebrity get an A on this cruise ship and the itinerary. The ship activities for Christmas and New Year's were well orchastrated and much fun. Even though the ship was short staffed, the existing staff worked diligently to make for a good time. I have already booked another cruise on the Equinox for a different itinerary...so looking forward to it!

We had a great time, we were celebrating our March 3, 2022 wedding. I would caution people to realize that everything is extra and the costs can add up very quickly. Because of this we don't know when we will take another cruise vacation but I was so happy to be able to share this experience with my new husband who had never been on a cruise.

To set the background for my review, this was our 2nd cruise on Celebrity and our 23rd cruise overall.  We previously cruised on the Celebrity Mercury many years ago to Alaska.  We booked this cruise to travel with friends and see 6 islands we have never visited before.  Our cruise took place over Christmas and the New Year holiday.  We did not have any issues with COVID, and we felt that this was the first cruise that we gave little thought to the virus.  Overall, we enjoyed this cruise and are planning to take future cruises on Celebrity.  Like every cruise we have been on, we found that there was a lot of good and a few things that we wished were different.  I am writing a detailed description of our experience to help future travelers.

I had a pleasant experience but the ship was old and breaking down constantly. We did not suffer for it but I heard from others that they had awful experiences with broken bathrooms, Televisions, the ship was squeaking all night from the motion of the ocean etc. The cabins are small and the buffet is the smallest I have ever seen. Furthermore most of the ports were very poor and run down islands that we really did not enjoy. There was nothing to do but MAYBE go to the beach, see one church and a plantation. Not good options AT ALL.

Beautiful ship. Well maintained and well staffed. Capacity for 2500 passengers. Just the right size. Great bridge crew, Great engineering crew. Cruisin' Susan was a great cruise director.

This was our first cruise in 5 years because of the pandemic and health issues in our family. I can certainly tell you that traveling is much different than it used to be. Alot of work which tends to take some of the enjoyment out of the cruise. Too many details to adhere to with the Medallion App and scheduling dinners and activities.

We had the most amazing time. Grandparents (80s), me (50s) and grandkids (11-24). Do it!! You'll love it. 17 days flew by over Christmas and New years

The ports were great had a awesome 5 days on this ship with family nadia and kadek in the MDR table 707 made this vacation special we felt like part of their family thank you so much

Awesome cruise! Very organized and the crew was outstanding!

Make sure you ask about billing system on the ship because it seamed to be a wake up call for most of the passengers on the ship

Not many good activities for young adults and families. This cruise seemed to be geared for older adults over 65.

The crew members were fantastic, The Entertainment Director was very Professional as well as Entertaining and informative The App is a plus. * At the private Beach ,chairs are needed in the beach/sand/swim areas. Some Seniors are not able to sit on lounge chairs Maybe Beach Tables and chairs would help

Wonderful and relaxing! We booked the Thermal Suite in the spa and it was great as they limit the number of reservations, so the area is not packed. Overall the whole cruise for the holidays was wonderful, the food was outstanding and the live music venues were great!

I’ve cruise many times in the past but this was definitely the worst owing mainly to the horrible food. No matter what I tried I could not find food that was warm or tasty it was all cold bland and mostly inedible

The next time we know not to go on holidays, sooo many kids with no manners. Wished the theater would have had nice shows instead of a comedian. We did not go to the theater since we don't care for comedians.

We had such a great time sailing with Celebrity Cruises. We are so glad that things are back to Open water's, beautiful sunsets, amazing people and just enjoying God's creation every day.

My title is based on rating the ship and service staff separately from Holland America Corporate. The ship, captain and staff were exceptional. Corporate's decision to nickel and dime you for far too many things left a bad taste in our mouths. Gratuities felt like nothing more than fees which should have been included in the pricing. Then on top of daily gratuities, you paid additional gratuities for any items you purchased. It felt at times like you given access to use the toilets but had to pay for the toilet paper + a gratuity. Too much selling on the cruise. Took a nice time and made it feel dirty.

A very enjoyable experience I would consider Royal Caribbean again. We prefer a smaller ship and a true promenade deck is a plus - Vision of the Seas checked off both these boxes.

Enjoyed the experience but probably would lean more toward the newer ships

Overall the cruise was very enjoyable. Island excursions and guides revealed a lot of history about each island. Ship shops were to high end for my budget. Excellent Captain and crew.
