Was not impressed with the boat for being a boat that’s only thought it would look a lot nicer all most the food places are scattered I would highly recommend that you wear a mask while you are on the boat I tested positive for the flu when got back home

Our cruise was as good as it could be if you don't drink and don't gamble.

Obstructed View Deck 6 by My2bghands

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Beyond

Celebrity needs to build ships that hide all life boats! I was charged full price for a cabin with 50% obstruction. Change menus and solo acts!

Incredible Icon Experience by aceofspades358

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Icon of the Seas

This was our most enjoyable cruise to date. From the arrival, parking and boarding experiences through the entire cruise and disembarkation process, everything went relatively smooth. This was our first post-pandemic cruise, so our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. From the technical aspects to the improvements on food preparation and service, we were astonished. The new ship exceeded our imagination on its 14th official passenger cruise, but we were pleasantly surprised that it still had that 'new car' smell when we boarded. The technology improvements are second to none with the very useful smartphone app. It was an extra touch of ease to be able to operate our stateroom amenities from the bed, such as our TV, cabin thermostat controls, lighting and opening and closing or our infinite window blinds. We even used it to contact our stateroom attendant, Paragas, who was outstanding and very attentive. Through the smartphone app we were able to request additional amenities from ice to laundry services. This extra attention to detail by design staff made us feel as though Royal Caribbean really wants their passengers to have an 'above and beyond' experience, and not just a 'getting your money's worth' experience. Since we had not been to Royal's private island (Coco Cay) since 2005, we were ecstatic to see the improvements in all its splendor. Even though there was another ship docked there that same day, there was plenty of space for all passengers from both ships on the island and we never felt crowded. There was no shortage of lounge chairs and umbrellas or beach sand. It was truly a 'Perfect Day at Coco Cay.' The onboard entertainment was above par and our experiences were delightful in all venues that we attended, especially the Showbands and Aqua Action-Cirque du Soleil type entertainment. We look forward to sailing bigger and better Royal ships into the future which can only get better from here. The best part of our experience was that most additional cost usually incurred on cruises, were actually afforded to us through a $300 onboard credit. In the past, I have usually booked my cruise directly with Royal Caribbean, but in recent years, we have been utilizing a third party online company called . By doing so, we were awarded $250 onboard credit and Royal awarded us an additional $50 onboard credit. This meant there was absolutely no pressure on spending while onboard for souvenirs and such. In fact, we ended up splurging just to use up all the onboard credit. Booking this cruise while this ship was still just scrap metal in Finland 14 months ago, allowed us the privilege of paying for this vacation over an 11 month period with no financial pressure whatsoever. After pre-purchasing our Port of Miami parking voucher and arriving at the terminal, boarding the ship was a breeze and from the car to the gangway, took less than 15 minutes. Since we checked in online in the days immediately leading up to our departure, we were 'Expressed' through the check-in process, even through the security lines and allowed to board expeditiously. I truly pray that the cruise industry continues this trend, especially for those of us who are seasoned cruisers. Disembarkation was even easier. We carried all our luggage off the ship ourselves, so we were assigned a time to disembark and simply waited in the common areas until we received our text via the Royal App to proceed to the gangway for our departure. Customs has revamped their procedures which now makes getting off the ship just as fun as boarding, as long as you have a passport. For those of you who love to cruise and will see the value and advantage of cruising on the largest cruise ship in the world, Icon Of The Seas is a must do, in my opinion. Hate to go home from my Caribbean Cruise by LadyDLC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Icon of the Seas

We had a great time. Still had tons of things we could have done had we had more time as we really didn't get to sit and enjoy the music like going to Dueling Pianos or listening to the DJ/bands up on deck much. Perfect Day at Coco Cay we just relaxed in the shade and took a dip in the water and at the buffet and that was wonderful. Definitely needed more time to take advantage of the spa--book a pkg prior to the cruise if you can and same with specialty dining if you want to try those restaurants out (definitely wanted to try out Izumi as I love hibachi but didnt get to) but there is plenty of complimentary food to be had. Enjoyed a little time in the casino, left while we were ahead and had fun at BINGO and some of the game shows. It's a real drag to leave and come back home, was such a good time.

Geat ship.....awesome staff by rmorris196

Cruises have changed dramatically over the years with much less emphasis placed on food and dining......there was a wide selection of food but not all accessible unless you choose open dining times

The noise is terrible by NTO

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Sunrise

I've been on many cruise ships, but this one was unfortunately the worst. What I disliked most was the poor manners of the passengers. Speak and laugh loudly without bothering other passengers. Whether in the hallway or on the balcony. I also smelled marijuana at times. Not only does it take a long time to get a meal, but the number of items is small. At the buffet, it seemed like we were in line for rations. I didn't feel comfortable on the deck, so I spent most of my time in the cabin. I don't want to go on another similar cruise anymore.

great cruise! the entertainment was top-notch, the staff was amazing, and the cruise director super friendly and funny! we loved half moon cay the most, the other two ports were mostly about shopping. unfortunately, the food got us sick :/ by mauricejonesjr

we liked the cruise, except for the food. we tried to eat as healthy as possible and still got sick, which made it difficult to enjoy everything else. the entertainment, staff, and cleanliness/comfort was unmatched. I'd definitely return but please please offer better quality food.

MADE THE MOST OF it but no more Carnival by tristalynette

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Mardi Gras

i took a 10 year break from carnival after 20 years. They had cut too many corners. This was their last change to impress me back with a newer larger ship. Unfortunately the list of issues exceeded the pros by about 10 fold. I make the best of any vacation or situation, but i wont be back on carnival.

Disappointment personified by stubro485802168

I had been looking forward to this cruise for several years. But after the cruise was over, I can say, I was extremely disappointed. The food was horrible, no choices. No tasthe dining staff was fantastic. The room store was very poor they ripped you off. Everywhere they can they share huge choices for internet with no options for more than 1 day? They charge for every item on the room service menu. This is the first time I've ever experienced that I'm in a cruise and I am taking many. I'm different cruise lines. It seems like they go out of their way to rip you up. To that cruise on this s***

Great Mother Daughter Trip by goldglover

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Sunrise

This was a mother/daughter post tax season quick get away. Time to relax, laugh, swim in the beautiful blue waters, and enjoy one another's company! Definitely a party ship vibe if you are looking for that sort of ship! No complaints from this group!
