The most fabulous cruise! by pomahoy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Oriana / Destination: Canaries

Overall a fantastic cruise. The ship and all the crew were fantastic. Would miss out La Palma. Not much to do if you don’t like going on vertigo enduring journey. The art classes were great. It is very sad that Oriana is leaving the fleet. She is by far my favourite.

Lovely Canaries cruise on Ventura by mcmp59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

A first cruise with P & O and they are behind Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Princess but having said that they are still a good cruise line. Very efficient embarkation and disembarkation at Southampton. Had a balcony room at stern of ship (B755) which had a larger balcony and gave great views to where we had sailed. Food good but service slow in anytime dining room, possibly due to staff getting to grips with new tablets that orders had to be placed on. We were generally there for 2 hours and then leaving early in order to catch the show in the theatre. The salad selection at lunchtime in the buffet restaurant could do with a better selection and for staff to keep on top of items that were being depleted, including plates etc. The shows were of a good quality, especially The Fly Rights. Beginners dance classes with Jeffrey and Brenda were excellent as was the nightly dancing with them in The Atrium. A pity some stairs were out of action at various times due to carpets being replaced meaning some hefty detours. Overall a good cruise and would travel with them again.

Our 1st P&O Cruise! by Siestasue

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

Not sure we’d go with P&O again.....for us it missed the mark in a lot of areas compared to the cruises we’ve been on before but if the itinerary suited who knows!

Superb Canary Islands cruise by nikian

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Canaries

Only ever travelled with p and o and have noticed very slight down turn regarding small items ie, don’t fold towels in animal shapes anymore also no sweets in cabins and slight lack of waiters on deck and buffet would appear they are cutting back on probably silly little things but to some these are things they go with p and o for

Best Cruise Ever. 5 stars. by eurolord

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Britannia / Destination: Canaries

This was a Strictly Come Dancing themed cruise and it was excellent. We met many of the stars onboard and watched a lot of great shows. The food and service was excellent in all the restaurants. We had a forward facing balcony cabin on deck 15 (A103) and much to our surprise it was an excellent cabin but we were lucky with the weather. Cabin steward was also very helpful. Can't think of any negatives except the lifts which seemed to have a life all if their own and more photographers are required on these cruises as they were overwhelmed by the amount of work from passengers.

The cruise was good but had to wait over an hour on the fine dining it shouldn't make a difference whether you get a discount on your holiday everyone should be treated the same unless you have a top of the ra by debbyrobson

Ship: Azura / Destination: Canaries

The cruise was lovely and relaxing, plenty of things to do loved the planet bar, and the Manhattan bar the theatre had the best shows like We3. I also meet them after and had my photo taken with the lead singer Steven.

Christmas & New Year Cruise by sailawaysara

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Oriana / Destination: Canaries

We were a bit nervous after booking cruise & reading the reviews with the comments of it being like an old peoples home. We both had a fantastic time & met so many interesting people with so much experience of cruising. The food was fantastic & also the service, much better than any other cruise line I've sailed with.

Nice per Christmas get away. by PinkieSnr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ventura / Destination: Canaries

P&O need to cater for a younger generation, so to keep their future clientele, most if not all of the entertainment and activities was set in the 50's & 60's, newer modern entertainment and activities for the 20 to 50 year old set for 80's & 00's required, not the 70. Staff excellent however not much can be said for the majority of passengers with their comments and attitudes with lack of manners to staff and fellow passengers. This cruise was more Saga than P&O.
