Unbelievable Alaska Cruise by debgeorge216

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

This is one of the best trips we have ever had. The beauty of the nature & wildlife is indescribable. We loved seeing all the animals including the whales, bears, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, ravens, porpoise, puffins & etc. The ship was also very nice and the service was excellent. We recommend everyone go to Alaska if possible.

overall a great vacation/cruise, both land and sea! Service was impeccable! Two issues were lost luggage which was later found and huge over charge at jewelry store Effy aboard trip. Do not buy anything on board ship!

Alaska has been on our bucket list. We decided to cruise Alaska for our 50th Anniversary. What a beautiful part of our country. Excellent opportunity to see whales, moose, eagles and lots of Alaskan wildlife.

Getting on was easy, as was getting off. There was a lack of evening activites, after 10 pm. But earlier there was a number of things to do.

Alaska land and cruisewith Star Princess by Arp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Star Princess / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Our cabin steward, Darwin Rodriguez, was truly exceptional. So too was our dining waitress, Zayda. The two formal nights are a joke. Princess does not enforce their rules on diners to wear anything remotely resembling formal attire. Really, anything goes, much to the detriment of those who adhere to their dress code. Some of us may be paying airline surcharges for bringing formal attire, and this is infuriating. It it past time to do away with formal nites, given lack of enforcement.

We had a blast by cindyburnett1

Captain Alex was awesome. He notified us one night about the northern lights. If not for that we would have missed that experience. He always kept us informed and has a great sense of humor. This is the cruise to take if you are trying to decide which Alaska cruise to take.

We enjoyed an unbelievably scenic, sunny & warm September cruise thru our Voyage of the Glaciers. Lots of wildlife sightings too!!! by JojoHi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Island Princess / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Our Voyage of the Glaciers Cruise in early September was AWESOME!! Saw lots of wildlife & weather was sunny & dry. Bald eagles, Brown bears, Alaskan mountain goats, Sea Otters, Seals, Beluga Whales. If you want to see lots of glaciers as well, go on this cruise. You won't be disappointed!! ;-)

We absolutely LOVED our trip! Alaska was stunningly beautiful!! The ship was older but well maintained. Staff was exceptional. Food well above par. We would recommend this trip (and have), and Princess Cruises! Good value!

Our room attendant Saman was truly awesome, like to give him a shoutout for a job well done. The food was great, people we met from all over the world and staff were all great. This was my first cruise and already planning my next cruise

Great trip, bad disembarkment at the end left bad taste in my mouth. Celebrity has you fill out disembarkment info online, but then doesn't obviously use that information at all, which makes no sense to not use it. Take it off the online registration. by casully

I was disappointed with two things, I wanted to travel more during the day when we were within sight of land, but a lot of the traveling was done during the dark. I went to Alaska to see the scenery and wildlife. I went to the shopping helpful info talk in the theatre and was disappointed about the commercialization of it. I was not at all interested in buying jewelry and this seemed like the theme of this trip.

Nice trip ... not a great trip by tristau1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Radiance of the Seas / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

All in all, a nice cruise -- had decent weather, and enjoyed the beautiful sights. The onboard staff was amazing ... and they made a suitable big fuss over my spouse's birthday. Do be prepared for the 18% "gratuity" that is automatically added to your bill ... since the staff was so good, we did not dispute it, but plan on it adding about $30/day to your cost of the cruise (for 2 sharing a cabin).

FANTASTIC ALASKA CRUISE!!!!! by JoCruiser2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Alaska should be on everyone’s list......can’t say enough good things about our trip. If you can take time off, fly into seattle for a few days, then head up to vancouver. Both cities are awesome! Then do the northbound inside passage cruise arriving at Seward. All the ports are wonderful, and cruising at Hubbard Glacier was amazing. Captain Alex was the nicest ship captain ever, and he gave us the best day of glacier watching imaginable. Be sure to do a land tour once in Seward, and DO NOT miss Mt. Denali!!! Saving the best for last, was such a treat for us all. Celebrity did a fantastic job and we will never forget this adventure of a lifetime!

Short on Alaska emphasis by maryleekillinge

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

We could have been on a Caribbean cruise for all the Alaska/Native emphasis. Where were talks on the flora, fauna, geographic formation, history and culture? Not even a map to show where we were and what was coming up.
