We did not spend any time in Galveston during this trip. However , we like the city very much and we stayed there several times before.

Galveston is great but have patience driving in the port area. It is pretty crowded

Many things to do and see in Galveston. Great local restaurants seafood.

Traffic to get to the cruise ship is two lane. Plan ahead when driving to the port.

We stayed in Houston before the cruise, so we didn't experience Galveston at all.
