Huge shoutout to the folks at Port Galveston! It’s the little changes/upgrades that have happened that make the process so much easier and smoother. I can not express how much time the facial recognition software has saved onboarding but especially debarking through customs. Great Work to all who had a hand in getting that up and running.

Getting onboard gets easier and easier in Galveston. While the port terminal is older than dirt, Carnival keeps making it easier and easier for the boarding process

Our favorite home port ❤️ We’re native Texan’s and hope that Carnival will branch out to more destinations from the port of Galveston ❤️ Cuba, Dominican, etc.

This is our second cruise out of Galveston. I highly recommend the La Quinta ( La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Galveston North at I-45, 1002 Reer 63rd St.) It’s fairly new, opened March 2022. Amazing breakfast and perfect for cruisers! Dinner on the pier, I recommend Fisherman’s Wharf. Authentic seafood for those who don’t get it often! Expect the port to be busy on Saturday!!! You have several ships coming in and going out. Be patient! There’s a lot of people going both ways. Being kind doesn’t cost you anything!

Galveston is a very nice port. We left from there on our first few cruises, and found it was very easy to get in and out of, and seem to be very well run. The staff was always extremely courteous and helpful. Growing up in the Houston area, Galveston Island itself has always been one of my favorite places. I highly recommend the cruise port, and a trip to Galveston Island as well.
