As we were sailing away from New York City, the views of the skyline and bridges on the East River were amazing. And sailing passed the Statue of Liberty is a very special experience.

We were worried about traffic and flying into NY and traveling to the port. All seemed to go really smooth. Got an Uber to and from the port to the airport. Was smooth getting on and off the ship in this port as well. Great experience.

I live in Brooklyn, so it was great. It was fast and easy when we departed. But it was kinda rough leaving.

Easily accessible by the NYC Ferry from many parts of the city. The Ferry docks right next to MSC's current cruise terminal in Red Hook.

We went on our own and arrange ahead and got tickets to tour Yankee Stadium. What history. We used the app ROME2RIO and it gave me all the subway info, taxi etc. Subway told me exactly how much and what subway station was near me, and what stops to go through and where we got off and took me right there. After stadium tour the same app for subway got me to Central Park and we paid a guy to take us around Central Park in an Electric Pedy Cab. It is a electric bike and has like two seats in back, really cute. He gave us a tour there telling about everything and even took us to the place where John Lennon had lived (you know). Pricey but worth it. He asked my next subway station I needed and took me right there in New York traffic, that was pretty cool. Well worth it. Then app got us right to our subway station closest to ship and called Uber to get me to the ship. It was a 27 minute walk from station and wasn't sure how it was to walk in Brooklyn to boat. Still was a lot yet to see in New York.

Heavy traffic. If you can, get dropped off just outside the gate and walk the 5 minutes to the terminal.
