I'm from Miami/Fort Lauderdale, so maybe my review of this port is biased lol. But go to Fort Lauderdale which is 20-30mins north of Miami and save your money! South Beach and all of the surrounding areas near the port will suck you dry if you're the average middle-class American. You can enjoy the same things in Fort Lauderdale that you can enjoy in Miami. So just go to Fort Lauderdale and do those same things for almost half the cost. Go to one of the biggest malls in Florida(located in Fort Lauderdale) called Sawgrass Mall. It's cool cause it's shaped like an alligator minus the additions of the Colonnades. Also check out the biggest flea market ever called the Swap Shop. It has an arcade, cool eats, a little fairground area outside and even a drive in movie theatre during the night! You can bargain with the sellers at the vendors for whatever price you want on goods and wares. Definitely a cool spot to shop and soak up some time. The Museum of Discovery and Science is also located in Fort Lauderdale downtown. It has an IMAX theatre and is cool for the family or even whimsical couples with no children. My partner and I are 30 yrs old and we still go just for fun lol. There's a ferry near the museum that takes you around the Fort Lauderdale intracoastal so that you can see the big luxurious homes along the waterfront. A cool restaurant right on the beach is LuLu's Bait Shack. Nice breeze comes in from the beach there. Be sure to get the Shark Bait Fish Bowl! In that same complex as LuLu's Bait Shack is a Fat Tuesday's. It's a place that serves these awesome frozen alcoholic drinks during a hot summer day. Be careful though because you can't take that drink into other restaurants like LuLu's Bait Shack. From that location you can walk along the sidewalk and enjoy the cool shops and restaurants while looking right across the street at the waves and nice beach. And then once you're done sight seeing, walk right across the ship and hit the beach!

Miami was very interesting to say the least. Lots of sketchy and unsafe areas. Just be very careful and aware while traveling throughout the area. However, we did visit a very beautiful beach called Crandon Park. Nice, secluded, and safe place. Spent the day there before we had to embark on the ship the next day. The embarkation process at Port of Miami was flawless for us. We breezed right through everything and was onboard within 30 mins.

I was extremely impressed with Miami. I had only heard bad things. We did the hop on hop off which I totally recommend. It was so nice, well kept, and beautiful. We all had a good time!

Yes our bus tour was $25 and we went all thru the town, Atlantis, local restaurant to see how conch was made and tasted con fritters and some local food. Then he took us to some shops and the beach! Was a great Day in Nassau, Bahamas!!

Art District is beautiful especially at night and everyone was much nicer than I expected. Great restaurants and stores nearby. Museums are gorgeous, traffic is another story.

Had an amazing experience in this port, everything was super smooth and stress free! We were booked in a Royal Family Suite, so we got priority and didn't have to wait in long lines at all - would highly recommend the suites if you can swing it! The cruise terminal is very easy to navigate, and parking is fairly priced! Will be sailing out of here again for sure!

Cruise ship capital of the world. Just expect a lot of traffic getting on and off the boat. Beautiful city though. In South Beach they are very proud of their drinks and food, so bring a lot of cash! It costs money to hang out with the beautiful people. :)
