Ft. Lauderdale was our embarkation point. Port Everglades is pretty easy to get around. The embarkation staff was very organized and the processing was easy.

We got in the night before and just went to the port and got on the ship. We have been to Fort Lauderdale before and enjoyed it.

After disembarking from the ship we actually spent the night in Ft. Lauderdale before flying home the next day. We hung out on the beach most of the day.

I think the terminal at Port Everglades is decently sized and can certainly handle the 6,500 people who board the ship.

Not a negative about port but the hotel we stayed in before cruise. We stayed in Wingate by wyndham Miami airport and my credit card was skimmed. Someone tried to us it the next day to purchase something for $1000. Bank noticed and stopped transaction. But we were stuck post cruise with no credit card and not able to collect rental car.
