Fun to watch all the ships wait to come in. They wait out on the ocean horizon. The cruise ships can be seen from many hotels in the Fort Lauderdale area.

We live here and love it. If you are available here on the first Sunday of the month, go to the free music and jazz concert across from the Discovery Center right on the river. Wonderful talent from 11 am-2 pm. Eat at any of the fine restaurants close by and visit Las Olas Blvd.

Have sailed from here many times. We always fly in a day early and stay at the Renaissance Hotel Ft Lauderdale Cruise Port , which is convenient to both the ships and the airport. We have not stayed in FLL upon our return always choosing to go directly to the airport and fly home the same day as disembarkation. I have found that Uber/Lyft is better when going to the cruise port than a taxi because it’s a flat charge and given the traffic delays at the port, the taxi meter does not stop.

If you are there the day before your embarkcation there is a small State Park down by the cruuse port that has a jetty that you can gomon to watch the ships leave. Be there around 4pm. The park us $6 per car. It's a lot of fun!

900 people on board and no children it was wonderful. I like medallions. You walk up to your door and it unlocks. Use your medallion for all purchases.

Went straight through both getting on & off boat. The Port was quick & efficient. Ft Lauderdale is an amazing city. The views are amazing no matter where you are in Fort Lauderdale.
