Took Uber to Sawgrass Mills mall. Spent 8 hours there and still didn't see it all. Huge mall with great shopping, great restaurants, movie theater.

Flew in a few days early before cruise to enjoy the area. We stayed at the Hilton right along the beach. We went for walks every day, enjoyed the Florida sun, ate great food, went to a spa and shopped on Los olas Blvd. This may not have been an actual port stop, but You can easily make this an enjoyable extension of your cruise.

Debarkation went smoothly. Checked luggage night before, left cabin at selected time(8:30am). Got off ship, found luggage, custom line was organized and very fast...15-20 minutes of line constantly moving, showed passport to customs official- went outside, called for Uber-15 minutes to airport!

Have been there before. We started our cruise with beautiful weather. Embarkation was orderly and champagne given as you arrive.

We always fly in a day before. Although it rained the entire day, it did not stop us from walking the stores and restaurants in the beach fronts.

Fort Lauderdale is a very convenient place to sail from, and was well set up. We didn't do an excursion here either leaving the port or upon our return. When we returned to Fort Lauderdale after the cruise, we disembarked at 8am but our flight wasn't until 8pm, and we needed something we could do with our luggage. We booked a day room at the Rodeway Inn and Suites, and highly recommend it to anyone needing a room for a day. It was affordable, and gave us a calm, cool place to relax after disembarking. There is a pool, a sports bar at the Inn, and pizza delivery. What more do you need? :)

We stayed in Fort Lauderdale two nights before we boarded the ship. We always stay at the Best Western, which is close to the port, beach and boardwalk. Lots to do and see in Fort Lauderdale, the trolly will bring you all through the city for only $1, so it’s easy to hop on and off wherever your want to go. I did not do a tour here.
