We embarked on the Crown Princess on Saturday April 6th from Ft Lauderdale. It was very quick & painless. We stayed at the Harbor Beach Marriott, & it was about a 15 minute trip to the terminal. We arrived at about noon & were on bord the Crown within half a hour. The fastest we have ever gone through the line & through security , then through check in for our sea Pass cabin cards, & right on board. It could have not been any smoother. Debarking was just as easy , get off the ship, walk to our luggage section, collect our bags , go through customs, & head outside to hail a cab. 15 - 20 minutes tops. Another 15 minutes & we were at the airport. We are now totally spoiled & will want this ease of boarding & debarking at every port 😎

Ft Lauderdale is easy to fly into and the airport is very close to the port. It's very convenient!

The ease of checking in was the best I ever experienced and I have been on numerous cruises.

We thought Port Everglades was so easy, we flew in and had a taxi bring us over and they pull right up to the front and let you out. They had our bags, went past security check, checked in, and going up the ramp to the ship in about 15 mins. Loved our first experience!

We opted to drive to Fort Lauderdale from New Jersey rather than fly. I will likely rethink that in the future! But embarking from Fort Lauderdale for the particular cruise of the Southern Carribean made sense then and still does. Perfect place to set sail from!

For such a busy port it’s pretty well organized. Ft. Lauderdale is nice city to visit as well.

What a fantastic port to sail away from. We stayed pre-cruise in Miami Lakes so didn’t see anything of Fort Lauderdale however we did the Everglades Airboat and Flamingo Gardens tour on disembarkation as we had a late flight home. We loved the airboat ride and saw 2 alligators up close. This was followed by a Gator Boys show which was really informative and better than expected (I’ve never seen the TV show). Flamingo Gardens was nice and somewhere we probably wouldn’t have visited otherwise. Loved the otters!

We Love this port! It’s great to watch all of the pleasure boat & cruise ship activity here. It’s close to the great hotels. Embarkation is an absolute breeze and is very easy to access! I’d like to cruise in/out of this port exclusively if I could!

Flew in a day early. Stayed at the Renaissance port hotel which was very nice. Walked to the beach for the afternoon then watched the procession of cruise ships leaving port from the 17th street draw bridge.
