If you take the post-cruise tour of Seattle prior to going to the airport, you'll get a ticket to the Space Needle and go to Pike Place Market. Go to Piroshky, Piroshky and get a lemon twist pastry. Oh. My. Goodness!

Great city to visit. Enjoyed the market, Space Needle, Waterfront, Olympic Sculpture park, and the Chiluly exhibit. Getting around town is easy with the monorail and Uber.

Came two days prior to our cruise. I have read a lot of the different reviews about how the city is dirty and the there are a lot of homeless people. This is a beautiful city and no different than any other city. I have been to New York where the garbage was piled up for days but didn’t bother me still had a good time. The locals were nice it’s all the visitors that were rude, so before writing a bad review about another city look at your own first. Oh wait those people probably don’t go to the bad side of their own town.

We spent the night before the cruise and the night after in the Hilton in Seattle across from the airport. Both nights we took the train to the Westlake stop. We visited the fish market, ate lobster chowder and lobster rolls at Pike Place Chowder. We also took the monorail to Chihuly Garden and Glass which is my favorite thing in Seattle by far.

Seattle was a wonderful walking city. We visited Pikes Market, the Space Needle, the glass gardens by the Needle & took the ferry to Bainbridge Island for lunch. They were also having a festival in the park by the Space Needle that we enjoyed for the afternoon as well as wandering the many shops in the city. Ivar’s restaurant at the piers was also excellent.

Chulily gardens right next to the space needle was fantastic. Great way to explore before or after your cruise. Actual port embarkation was confusing and the not all the workers were helpful or pleasant.

When we got off of the ship after the cruise we tried the Luggage valet. It was great! We set out our luggage the last night and the next time we saw it was at our airport. There are some restrictions but definitely would do this again.

Seattle is a great way to start from especially for a Florida girl who has never been.

Give yourself time to see the city. Seattle is an excellent city to see. The down town area is easily walk-able despite the hills. We found that Uber and Lyft made it easy to get around or to the hilly parts of the city.
