We always enjoyed San Francisco We took the hop on hop off bus and went to Muir Wood. We really loved walking along the water way by Fisherman's Wharf. There was just a lot to see and do.

No excursion, nice time walking around town. Visited Ghiradelli Square and rode the cable car. FUN!

This is a great port for walking. The ship docked at Pier 35 and we walked down the waterfront to Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf, the Ship Museum and Ghirardelli Square. Could see the cable cars coming and going. If you like to walk, this is a great walk.

At first we booked the transfers to the ship from the airport. However, I read that they put you on a bus and you set there for 3 hours before going to the dock. I even talked to the lady’s that were meeting you at baggage claim and they confirmed this. We opted to get a private limo to the ship. We were in San Francisco this past Sept and spent all of our time there in the area of Fisherman's Wharf, so we knew where to go before we sailed. We dropped our bags at the ship when we first got there and walked down to Fisherman's Wharf, maybe a quarter of a mile. Had a nice relaxing time until we could board.

I contacted Urban Adventure Quest and did there Awesome San Francisco Scavenger Hunt. This was the best experience I have had in touring a city.

Fisherman's wharf is fun, of course but discover The Presidio and the Disney Family Museum while there.

There is a lot to do here if you have never been in San Francisco before, Muir Woods, Napa Valley, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf and such. Extend your vacation and stay a day or two.
